Inspirations Thread

I don't think a thread has been made like this before. Post up pics of the cars on this forum that have inspired you, in order. Maybe we'll inturn inspire some newer members!

I'll start

when i was younger, i saw a tl parked outside my work and i had no idea what kind of car it was. my boss told me it was a tl and i promised myself i'd own one. 3 years later, im in the market for a new car and i come across acurazine and ronjon. while the ronjon kit doesnt appeal to me as much as it used to, it convinced me to definitly get a TL with the intent of applying this body kit.

so now that im dead set on picking up a tl, what color do i get? narrowed it down to white or black. i picked white because of a thread ILLUSTRIOUSUA6 made.

so i pick up the car and all i know is i want to get super low. thats where nokiaboi and accuratein come in.

then of course, theres ib18c1 and his group from so cal

however, it was because of st04louis that i decided to skip on the "aggressive" style tl, and go more classy. ive always been a fan of VIP style, but it was his car, although his car isnt VIP, that convinced me the look was possible.

love his ass shottttt

so shortly after he got his volks. i ordered my AME. at the time, the AME i ordered was the most aggressive specs for a TL yet. i was gonna be the first to actually achieve a flush look. ballinfizzle had the same idea, and his rims arrived first. cant get mad at him tho, cus his car came out BEAUTIFUL. even tho i already purchased the rims, it was still a big inspiration to see his car and how it came out.

since that point. ive had all my ideas in my head (besides an ever changing rim choice.) but that doesnt mean i cant still be inspired. maybe not inspired in how i want my car to look, but in the will to keep aiming for that finished project. Rodney's tl pushes me to continue to reach that "vip" look for the tl.

What first turned me on to the TL? Seeing one drive down the road a few years ago ('05 perhaps?). Then I saw a WDP '07 TL-S with the A-spec body kit, and it was all over. The TL-S was out of my price range, but I knew that WDP was my choice of color when I was to finally pick one up.

Biggest inspirations for my UA6? st04louis and jptl04 hands down. I know this is an opportunity to post pics of their cars, but I'd spend all day putting images up. These two have done so much more to their cars than I ever could imagine done to my own.

Just wanted to add my two cents here just due to the subject matter. I'll try posting pics later when I'm not at work.

Truthfully, i was in love with 2nd Gen TL's. A friends brother had one that was dumped when i was younger. When i got back from iraq first thing i looked for was a 2nd Gen...and ran into the 3rd Gen i ended up buying.

Honestly, my wife's brother used to be a HUGE DOUCHE, like the prince of Doucheness. He always bragged about getting a better car than me, and he loved the TL, LOVED IT and he was an A$$ in general about evrything. he showed the TL to me one day and said " don't you wish you had this, this is my future car, you ain't never going to have something like this, YOU SUCK" ... 2 weeks later I bought the TL so he could shut the F*** up.

One year later, Bayam0n still has his AM, rolling on RonJon Devotions type 3 - forged 20" wrapped around Nitto tires, apsec body kit, with one inch drop, type-s tails and sidemarkers, sarona rear roof spoiler, and JnC custom head lights blacked out with halo's.

one year later , my brother in law drives a beat up 98 civic, 200k + miles, rolling on 15" doughnuts, wrapped around tires that have red tape on it. one headlight works.

and that is what inspires me.
