I need some constructive criticism...

So this is my baby, the first car I bought a lil more then 2 years ago. I have been slowly modifing the car. Let me know what you guys think, and don't worry, i don't FLIP out when someone says they don't like something, we all have different tastes

I installed the AEM V2 intake like a week ago, I don't know why I didn't get the "AEM V2" sticker, but it is defenitly a V2, Excelerate sold it to me.

I did some wiring to make my fog lights independent...

installed the ASPEC lip kit myself (took me three days) saved me $600

I also slapped on my rims when i knew for SURE, most of the potholes were repaired and snow was gone Also, i know most people wouldn't roll on 245\40\19 cuz they might look a lil bulgy (I don't think soo) and speedometer will be inaccurate (by 0.04%, not even noticeable) but my last pair of rims were so severaly molested and raped by potholes, that i HAD to go a bit bigger, and i gotta say I am VERY pleased by the comfort and the protection.

I took the badges off the car, and put the RJ one, it think it looks kinda slanted, might have to re-do it.

my friends Lexus 330 and my car with a nice vew of the city

and thats it, let me know what you think, what i should work, what i should do next. i am planning on blackign out the roof, my JnC headlights are in the works, color match the grill, get some bigger brakes, tananbe exhaust, and do some more interior mods.

interesting, I just might do that. i actually put the stickers on as a "test look" to see how I would feel about them, I'm not a huge fan of stickers, but I have seen some TLers pull it off. I didn't really know where to put them, but I think they look ok. I will try to put them on the triangle glass though to see if it would look good. thanks for the idea.

It looks great bro. Only things I'm iffy on are the stickers and the wing. Everything else is spot on. I really like the wheels probably my favorite RJ wheel. Clean man bring back memories of my old AM.

I think the factory wing looks great!
All I see are TL's with no spoiler, the spoiler makes the car stand out!

Looks good man! I'm a sucker for AM.

Like others have said, I'm not a huge fan of the wing spoiler and the stickers, but besides that I like everything else. The Devotions flow nicely with the rest of the car. I understand why you got the bigger sidewall but it still looks funky.

Are you dropped?

I think you have great plans for the car as well. I'm not sure how a black roof would look on your car since the only other part of the car that is black is some pieces on the wheels. It may look out of place. Color matched headlights from JnC would look sick. If you get ballsy, cut open the tails and color match the chrome bezel. I've been wanting someone with a AM TL-S to do that. I think that would look great!

All of this was just my . Good luck with whatever you do!

Yeah, the wing spoiler is not popular within the Azine community, but I like it alot, and i was 19 when i bought the car so I was into the whole "fast & furious" thing.

I think the tires are pretty funky looking too, if you really stare at them, but I am used to them, and everyone on my block loves the rims and don't even notice how big the tires are. I would love to get them thinner, but the potholes and construction on the streets, and AAAHHHH, i can't afford to keep buying new rims. the other day, I hit a nasty pothole and thought "great, there goes my RJ's" but when I took a lot at the rims, not even a scratch. needless to say, the tires are doing what they're supposed to do.

my JnC custon headlights are going to be blacked out, with CCFL's and LED switchbacks, and I've seen an AM before with a blacked out roof, and it looked good enough to try, i'm not painting it, I'm going to put.... ummmm i forgot the name of the material but i know you can peel it off if you aint liking it.

And yes, the car is dropped with S.Tech's 1.3"ish all around, but because of the size of the tires, the car only dropps 1/2" from stock hieght, but the wheel gap is gone which was a big thing for me, and the ride is as smooth as stock, maybe even smoother.

Looks good, remove the stickers. That said I have my acurazine sticker on my car but its on my triangle glass. For some reason I think it looks ok there but on the passenger window they look out of place.

however, those tires will give you a 5% speedo error. your're off my two orders of magnitude.

Overall it looks great! Bumpers match the body color well.

Things I don't like.
-spoiler. Looks cleaner without, and the deck lid lip looks way better in comparison.
-stickers
-exhaust tips. I would do something custom, or extend the OEM tips.

you said its only off .04% in your first post. its off 5%. you need to move the decimal point over two spots. thats two orders of magnitude. maybe its just engineer language. either way, thats a lot.

First off, I like the title of your thread. You want to hear opinions and are open to them. Shows a high maturity level in my book.

With that said, I agree with most everyone so far. The car looks great, but would look cleaner without the stickers.
I also prefer the lip spoiler myself, but don't hate the wing spoiler.

Where I am going to differ from many here is the window visors. I have never been a fan of them and think our cars look better without them.

You definately sound like you're heading in the right directions with your future mods as well. Keep up the good work

Lol, it's funny cuz i just came from a thread with a TL with quite a few stikurs, a big sticker in the front and two in the back, and you didn't say single thing about it. i think it's cuz the OP was a gurl Lol, but its all good.

u r right! I just checked this tire calculator http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalcold.html it is more or less 5%, but i can't notice becuz my father-in-law's cave is 3 miles away, and my speedometer still counts 3 miles after the wheel upgrade. So for every 100 miles counted, theres 4 miles missing.

Thanks, not a big fan of the visors niether, but they came with the car, and my wife doesn't want me to take them off. I'm starting to like the stickers, and people are startign to ask what mods I have because of the stickers. I guess for some reason, people think the car has alot of mods cuz of the stickers

but thanks you guys, I was actually at the dealer yesturday, I sat and test drove a type-s, I almost jizzed in my pants. I prolly wait until an 08 type-s with less then 20k miles certified goes up for sale before i trade my base tl in.
