I made something.
Saw an ad in the latest import tuner magazine for a product called Wraptivo, made by Meguires. It said it's available at Walmart so i went and looked in 3 different walmarts and didn't find any. Called Meguires customer care and he told me only select walmarts will have it. Went to the one he suggested and found the product. (This was a product I needed to see in person before I bought it.)
Next I went to home depot on a hunt. The goal was to find something long, thin, and preferably plastic. After browsing most of the aisles, i came across some gutters. I thought to myself, hmmmmm, this might work. Easy to cut, long enough, had a rolled edge, and was only $5!! haha So I grabbed one and went to stuff it in the TL.
When i returned home, i went to work with my idea and it was so easy. The wraptivo was nice to work with. Cleaned the bottom of the sideskirts and stuck some double sided tape all along the customer splitter.
Took some photos earlier when she was wet. Enjoy!

Probably the reason people do the lawn trim front lips. It just adds more depth to the car.

Oh ok you are trying to figure what the fuck is the purpose of making something like this on my Acura TL. hahahaha.
The purpose is for moar downforce at high speeds. I don't really know if these will work or not on this car, but i've seen quite a few cars that have side splitters. The problem I had is no companies make hardly anything for this car, so i had to come up with it on my own.
And it could also be for aesthetics. I personally love aero mods on certain cars, and others might not care for it. On my car, i feel like the arc winglets and the varis vortex generators are now connected with the addition of this modification.
Does this answer your question?

Cool, glad i could answer.
Thanks!
lol i guess i didn't exactly say what it was that i made.
*For people that might not be familiar with the car, the piece that we're talking about it is the lip that's running under the side skirt. They call it a side splitter.

Not bad. I don't see how it'll help with aerodynamics at all, but I think it looks good.

contemplating future mods

I like the addition and it really does flow well with the rest of the aero mods that you have
I have been looking for some side splitters as well. It is great to see the ingenuity that takes place on Acurazine.

Whole car looks great man, I'd like to see a comparison in CF weave between 3M and Meguiar's.

Looks good. Brings together the pieces you have on the front and rear now. Is just as thick as 3M dinoc?
