ZOMG is the only way to react to this kind of shit. It's a long story, and i'm thinking about typing it all out for everyone to enjoy. I will be honored to type this story out. And it does suck, i'm just very lucky it didn't happen going 60 mph.

The lower control arm stud broke causing the knuckle and assembly to push up into the fender.

Yeah man it's insane to think of the possible outcomes that could have occured. Walls, trees, oncoming traffic, ditches, all come to mind. I might have even had the possibility of testing out the cusco roll cage and takata 4 points. Front bumper, gone. intercooler, gone. My life, gone. Passenger's life, gone. I'm very, very lucky it happened where it did.

This is a result of, no one other, than the notorious, .......

You guys may very well recall this thread. If you familiarize yourself with the content, you will see my name thrown around a good bit. I never once said anything in response, but after this mishap, I am forced to bring this to the surface. I don't want anyone else's life in danger. Do Not let this individual work on your car.

This individual performed the auto/6mt knuckle swap. He made a statement along the lines of "eric's TL wouldn't look like it does if it wasn't for me"
Thanks for the comments brother.
Very good guess Sir. You nailed it. None other. The notorious.
I'm very thankful no one was hurt. To my knowledge he does not have a shop and I hope he never does. Only if he learns to care about a person's life.

As the thread title states, "I made a mistake". There are no words to fully describe how much of an idiot i feel like.

Thanks for the words brother! I'm a real cool dude, and a lot of times I'm also a very nice guy. The problem is when i'm too nice. I like to help other people out. In this situation, I was helping this individual out and this is what happened as a result.
And i'm definitely mad, just more glad to be safe. And no i haven't spoken with him on the phone since before the last mishap, which was happened on the passenger side of the TL. He is one of those lurker guys, so he will be viewing this thread sometime soon.
Thanks man, me too. To be honest with you, i don't forsee him paying for anything. If i type out this story, you will see why I don't forsee this happening.

Yeah me neither man, if you look through all 5,000 something of my posts, you probably won't find one instance where I clowned someone's car. And if i did say something, it's in a subtle tone.
As for the stud, I'm predicting the nut wasn't fully tightened, therefor causing play between the stud bolt and knuckle, which in turned cause the stud to weaken, and then ultimately fail.

yikes.... pretty scary shit....
ya know, im quick to do DIY things in my driveway and garage with basic hand tools, but TWO things in this world, I only let ONE person besides me touch on my cars is suspension and brakes....
I agree with you on the calling people out... you're a well respected member like many others on here... lately though, this forum has been filling with some shady type characters, BM scammers and people who just dont know WTF they're doing or talking about

Sorry to see the above picture ... I'm sure all of us are pretty awe-struck right now ... talk about being a complete douche-bag idiot that can't spell for the love of his own damn mother
Please update us after you speak with him ... I'm anticipating an overwhelming amount of, for the lack of a better word, BULLSHIT from his side ...
