I Just Bought A New 2008 Acura TL ASM!
Hey guys,
So I am actually new to posting, I've been on this forum for a few months but was kinda just checking it out at first. I didn't really want to post anything since I didn't even have my car yet. But I finally bought it yesterday with 5 miles on the odometer at Acura of Seattle, WA. $31,500 out the door. It seemed like it was a pretty reasonable deal. Anyways I love the car. Its Sexy! Tell me what you guys think, and what my first few mods should be. Thanks!!! And I definitely need All-Season Floor Mats, haha rainy Seattle! Here are some pics I took with my Canon 40D. More to come. Love this forum!
My co-workers RSX Type-S.
Lovin' the HIDS.

do we have ourselves a photographer too?
Nice buy! Looks very clean, and welcome to the forums.
I have a 40D as well, I think it's too much for my own good (in terms of quality), lol.
You should definitely think about lowering it, getting a body kit, and then blacking out or clearing your headlights.
Performance wise, if you want to start simple, get one of the wide arrays of exhausts that are available for our car, and an intake. If you want to get off on an aggressive start, then get some pre-cat deletes

haha thats funny because as far as lowering, i'm definitely gonna do it. It'll just take me some time because before this car I was driving my dad's Infiniti QX56, so I was pretty used to being high off the ground. So after I get used to it, ill probably get a drop and a-spec kit.
I agree. I love it though. haha I'm glad I bought a DSLR before my car because now I can take pretty good pictures of it. lol

Welcome to the family and the ASM group too! My first mod was tints. They always help the looks. Then I went to www.BlueBatmobile.net and got tints for the headlights to match the window tints.

2 things to do first.... Remove the front plate bracket since you dont have the plate itself yet, and add some tints! haha i have a great place here in Lynnwood that will do an amazing job for a great price!

Does anyone have an aftermarket alarm on their TL? Does it void acura warranty if I get one installed. I work Best Buy so I get really good deals on the Viper 5900 Remote Start/Alarm. And does http://www.rockblocker.com sell the authentic 3M Clear Bras? Sorry I don't know if I was allowed to ask these questions on this thread. Thanks everyone for their responses!

Welcome man! I'm from the south-end... I've been rolling around with no front plates since I got my ASM Type-S so ditch the front plate or atleast leave it in your trunk. You will have to get the plastic plugs from the Acura dealership to cover the holes from the front plates. Don't let the Acura dealership charge you for the plugs because they will CHARGE you $11 for each plug. It's a slap in the face kinda rip-off after spending plus $30,000 for a car . I got upset at the parts counter and the parts manager gave me the plugs for free. Just tell them your not going to pay $11 each for some plastic plugs.
