Mid Ohio NASA Championship Sept 13-14

The TL is entered in this race, and I am 50/50 about driving up to Ohio to see it on the track.

Here is a video of the 2007 championship...

http://drivenasa.com/championships/H...deo-flash.html

...you can see a few seconds of the TL in action throughout the video.

Accuratein if you come up here PM me. The track is in Lexington Ohio.. I'm about an hour away from the track and you can garage your car / crash for the night..

I didn't go. Did anyone catch the action?!

I looked at the results and surprisingly out of the 28 hondas, the TL came in THIRD! Shanfield was also able to put down the fastest lap time of 1:38.247in Lap 14. Best Speed of 80.613, also by Brian Shanfeld.

The only supplied comptech stuff was the RSB and CL flywheel.

Video with the THR TL at Mid-Ohio...

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...2&hl=en#15m30s

Click the link to see the THR TL powering it's way to the front of the pack. At 17:53 is where the TL action starts, as Brian Shanfield passes the #117 Prelude.

Chris Fries from Hondatech said the TL now has aftermarket brakes which allowed the car to go deeper in the turns. I'm curious as to which brake system they're using.

Another chance at seeing this TL might be the 13 Hour Charge of the Headlight Brigrade at VIR at the end of October.

Also, from around 11:20 in the video you can see the warm up lap as the prelude is behind the TL.

Nice find!

The TL looks hella planted to the ground compared to the camera car. They've outdone themselves once again.

haha if you watch it at 19:30 you can see the TL overtake a crx, and then it appears the driver of the crx became disgruntled about it and then ends up going right off the track. hehe.

I just read a post over on honda-tech that the THR TL won an endurance race this past weekend at Watkins Glen.

It will also be returning to VIR for the 13 Hour endurance race the first weekend in November.

Anyone want to meet at the track that weekend?!

I think i might get the voltex wing, just so i can sleep well at night knowing what one looks like on a TL.

It's a 13 hour race, and starts in the morning kind of early. This is the same event that i went to last year, but got there around midday only to find that it had wrecked into a tire wall. So I will be getting to the track early this time around.

You should definitely come down that weekend if you're able to. I need to see your TL in person with the work wheels!

Just taking a stab in the dark... but i'm going to guess it's a custom APR lip/splitter thingy.

It looks like they extended the bumper down about 3 or 4 inches with some kind of material, not sure. Then added a custom flat splitter with two rods that can be seen inside the center lower air dam.

13 Hour Charge of the Headlight Brigade Endurance Race - VIR

So today, Ross and myself went to watch the TL do work on the track. Today it ran 2:12s. Enjoy the pics!.. the first batch of photos are off Ross's camera.

Also, the TL qualified first out of about 60 cars entered. It was exciting during the first few laps to watch it pull so far in front of the pack. It was the sound of the TL going by, and then the pack of cars.

It held first place position all the way until we left, and after that i'm not sure what happened. I'm waiting for the results to be posted.

Good shit.

So who says the TL-S isn't a Track Car?

'Cause this TL-S says, "STFU! and follow me."

Yeah. For those people that say the TL isn't a track car you can have this thread shoved straight up your ass. That thing is a champion when it comes to endurance races.
