Hit and run drivers? No, they can't get away from the TL
So this past friday night I was rear ended by a drunk driver. I chased him down and was lucky enough to corner him in a driveway. I got a visual of his face and his license plate number, but he drove over a few things that the TL could never make it over. Its ok though, the cops have his plate number and my description of the driver (which match the owners name on the registration on the truck)
I was slowing down for a red light when a 1998 jeep grand cherokee slammed into the back at me. I was going about 5mph (slowing for the light) and he was still at about 40 to 45 mph. My back was sore all weekend till about today.
Insurance is taking care of everything, but I can't even drive the teg because the transmission is blown. So I am stuck in some shitty rental enterprise car. insurance on that rental? I think so
hilarity will ensue with this dodge caliber.
Anyway the only pic I have for now.
Here is what it did look like
Shop is hooking me up with all the same parts that are on it now, along with a re painted front end, and new exhaust (mine was "bent" from the hit
)

damn, was that the ATLP dual exhaust? That would be near impossible to purchase from what I've read.
ya know, I can understand it if he was 12 - when the 'average' male adolescent was scared, he ran (remember when your friend jumped off the roof of his house and broke his leg...). But, it's a defining moment in an adults life to own up to his mistakes. Most of us learned along the way that your better off biting the bullet now than trying to weasel your way out of it and letting the consequences build.

Glad you're alright. Get your back checked out anyway.

sorry to hear about the car man, was looking forward to seeing it again this weekend. Glad you're okay though. TL's can be replaced, well everything but the exhaust i guess..

Get your back checked out dude. You may feel okay now but if it hurt all weekend and got better on its own, problems may come back on their own. Seriously, if you haven't, hit up a doctor. You'll be glad for peace of mind.

Happened to my previous 2G TL
I got hit on Independence Blvd pretty hard and I was SO happy lol that baby was totaled! People were looking at me weird cuz I was so happy after the accident (insurance money FTW!!)

HAHA. i both hate and love rental cars for the same reasons! great job catching that dumbass. and pretty sweet the shop will replace the same parts.

New transmission was cleaned last night and going in friday on the integra. TL will be out for about another week or so. Rental goes back sat when the integra is fully functional agian.

dont you love catching those guys?! i had a similar experience and the guy ended up getting 13 months in county due to other infractions he had pending on his record. god damn it felt good being called to the witness stand and pointing that mother f***er out in court and seeing the look on his face was even more rewarding
