Posted in another thread, but was told this kind of crowd is in here. Hopefully I can get some help! Thanks in advance

Headlights look off to you? I don't think they're supposed to swing up like that on the passenger side. Does my crossover area or whatever it's called in the middle look okay though? If these pics are bad I'll try to get some better one's soon.

I personally have never tampered with the actual lens or opened up the headlight, but I did buy it used. I don't think he would have messed with it either, but thought I'd throw that out there.

Looks like you need to adjust the vertical alignment a bit. There should oy be one "step" in the beam cutoff.

^What he said. The cutoff is supposed to step up like that so that you don't blind oncoming traffic on the left, but can still read road signs on the right. However the two beams should overlap so that it looks like there is only one step up.

Here's a good link on how to do the aiming:

This how-to might be a little more appropriate since it applies to HID headlights specifically: http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/show...HID-headlights

They look fine to me. You may need to raise them a little bit. Check the measurements again to make sure they are where they're supposed to be. It explains in the owners manual how the lights should be aligned. This is what mine look like.

If I remember correctly, beam height (the top color band) is supposed to be at the same height as the middle of the HID lens when parked at 20ft away from a wall. Might be 25ft..I dunno.

I probably need to pick up some new bulbs as these are likely the factory bulbs with 118k on them lol

will adjusting the beam of the headlights get me the clean cutoff line again? Or is there something else that would have to be done for that?
thanks

If you still have completely stock headlights, it's because your projectors have fresnel lenses on them. A lot of have installed ZKW clear lenses. The clear lenses sharpen your cut off line.

Also, check this site out.

No, their is now way around opening the headlight. They are clamped in place in the projector. It's an extremely easy process. It would probably take you an hour or two to do the whole proccess. Opening headlights, swap out lenses, tune the lenses, seal headlights.

I have no doubt that I could do this mod but I don't want to affect the integrity of the headlight by opening it up...I will only do mods that I can easily switch back to factory
