It Has Been A Good Few Months

I just want to recap my time with my TL-S since the day i bought it on August 23, 2010 till now (before the horrible Chicago winter comes ). This would kind of also be my progress since the day i bought it. I have H&R race springs just laying around in the garage, i didnt put them on yet because of the upcoming weather, I CAN'T WAIT TILL SPRING TIME . Please comment freely and feel free to talk shit if it pleases you. Now on to the PICS! And sorry about some of the pics, some were taken from my Cliq XT and some with a DSLR.

This is the first day i picked it up.

My first mod: INJEN CAI

Painted the top and middle part of the grill black. And yes i know the license plate relocation is HORRIBLE, but its temporary.

I got 3000K for the fogs, looks white at the start but the floor glows yellow. I also bought foglight overlays from BlueBatmobile, but...my mom threw them away thinking it was one of my little sister's stickers.

I bought "SMD" license plate bulbs from ebay, i thought i'd be the guinea pig and try them out. They're not so bad for 6 bucks, pretty bright as well.

Mini Meet after having lunch at Chipotle.Yes, i was too lazy to turn my car around. Yes, the Lancer (not evo) has purple rotas. Yes, the G8 has green stockies.

ROYAL PURPLEE!! The front "ACURA" is also Black.

Finally got the black top and a nice wash! Any ideas on roof spoilers (color? brand?) i was thinking white roof spoiler with black vinyl

PhotoSHOOT TIME!!

That's little old me

I went to MOD (Mitsubishi Owner's Day) down in Normal, IL. We left at 6am and came back at 6pm. I went to my car and the birds left some generous gifts for me .

God knows what those damn birds ate that morning.

So this concludes my 3 1/2 months with my car. I wish i can capture all the fun i had and share it with you guys. Anyways give me some ideas about the roof spoiler and future mods!

Yeah i was thinking about it but with work and school i didn't have time to go to the only place (that i know of) that sells it around here. that was just a pic i was messing around with, i wanted the show the acura sign in the front

I want to drop it every time i see the springs. i was thinking about buying a white roof spoiler and then putting the same black vinyl i have on my roof over it to color match it. and if in the future i have to take off the vinyl on my roof, i could take it off my roof spoiler as well

Im debating on buying the swift plates or the tow hook plate. Since i got pulled over i just want to show them that i have the license plate in the front. They're just zip tied there so its not that permanent. i think i have to decide soon...

car looks great i have the same one

id suggest the atlp v2 spoiler since i have one and i love the look
here's a link to see what it'll look like on your car [12th post] --> linky

you should just get the license plate relocator from AutoZone which is 10 bucks and looks just as good as the RHO plate IMO. [you drill 2 holes upward into the bumper where it's not even visible if you decide to take it off] there was a diy a few months ago but i cant find it.

here's a link to a member that installed a RHO plate and it looks exactly like mine --> linky

link to AutoZone's product --> linky

I Like it! Hate the green wheels on the G8, why would you do that to an American car like a G8?

Do not get a white roof spoiler, it looks shitty, if you get one, do it black.

well the 2 holes are drilled upwards into the back of the fog grill area. unnoticable unless you're lying down on the ground look up into the fog grill area which should be never lol. mentioned before, if you wanted to take it off then you could without the holes being noticeable.

here's that DIY i was talking about. i got the idea off this member --> linky

WERD UP. i got you, i was originally thinking about buying a white one and vinyling it to match the top. And as for the G8...he did to be like the lancer without the purple wheels (the lancer went from black wheels to green wheels to purple wheels)

Yes you are right about the removal part. but im going to think about that after we're done with winter. Then when spring comes around...im going to be broke :whim:.

Yea i saw this thread when i was searching to relocate the plate...IMO this is a pretty good alternative, and you're right the holes will barely be visible

I did the same relocation with my plate before I brought the tow hook mounting kit. Do yourself a favor in the meantime... Put some painters tape on the car where the plate can rub up on it. This will protect the cars paint and help you to avoid any paint damage.

Clean Type S...I have 3000k fogs as well, and they seem to shine pale yellow and give off a bright yellow on the street. It annoys me, so I'll be picking up some yellow fog overlays as well. Where did you get yours?

I bought my pair from ddmtuning and i also bought overlays. But my mom threw them away she felt bad because i said i needed it for something important. but when she asked me what were the stickers (overlays) for and i replied "For my car" she said "Good thing i threw them away, you're always messing up your car". But what she doesn't know is that i used her credit card to buy them. SO i plan on buying them again from Blue Batmobile, they're like 15 bucks and not that bad.

Thats a good deal! But I don't know about the quality of their work. This company where i go this done from vinyl things from roof tops to company logos on vehicles to "vinyling" a whole car. here is their website:
