Good point. I think if it chips i'll chop the center piece off and rock it like PPLAPW's grille. I'm pretty handy with body work.

What do you think of RJ kit + Blacked out grille and unpainted trim on a WDP?

I have yet to post mines...
But for some reason the clear-coat I put on the paint made the paint bubble while drying in the sun. And I notice now that there is overspray on the mesh.

I've already posted my meshed lower grills but just did this recently..

Painted the inside of the upper grill semi-gloss black (the matte grey part). Wanted to do this for a while, subtle change though.

Lol, so I guess you don't understand what individuality is, or the phrase, to each is own. I bought brand new 08 rims and tires, then painted then a custom color because that's just what I wanted to do. I like all the 3G OE rims, and the ride characteristics on the 17's w/ OE size tires.

ZOMG a typo!

I apologize to all the internet wieners on AZ for my offensive, careless typo. For the rest of us, yes it's obvious I meant "to each his own".

What's with this post? We don't need this kind of attitude on the forum. There's just no point for this...

Trew, how long have you had your RonJon kit on? Is that a new, recent addition? It looks awesome. I know you're handy, so did you do the install yourself?

Steven, I had it installed at Acura about 2 weeks ago. I'm pretty handy, but I couldn't do this one myself since the kit comes a little thick and needs to be trimmed in various places. Plus it has to be painted off the car.

Well, I'm envious my friend. It looks great....enjoy! In my book, you can't beat RonJon. I'm one of the guys who likes it much better than the ASPEC kit.

Inner parts color matched AM. The outer is solid black. I should say was, I changed the black to AM recently when I repainted my bumper. Here is another good pic w/ the black scheme, and a few recent pics w/ all AM except the emblem.

What color did you paint that middle part? is it gloss black, the same as the car or a mat finish? Looking to do my grill the same way

Thanks dude. No problems with chipping yet. However, I don't really drive it alot. I expect to have to deal with chips eventually. You can clear it, but I didn't clear mine because I wanted the black to disappear into the background and not shine.

Here's a pic from today:

Yeah I did want to go with the matted/flat look, but those chips are pretty nasty looking, so I just may have to clear it (assuming that clear coat would help that is).

It most definitely will. I believe you can get canned enamel clear in a satin finish. Please let me know how it comes out if you try it. I don't want to go messing with my grille unless I have to.

Oh, I should tell you, you don't want to put enamel paint over lacquer. It will spider crack like there's no tomorrow right before your eyes.

Looks good..I got get off my lazy one of these days and do something about my nastiness too.. just can't make up my mind. I feel like its harder with NBP because painting it all black doesn't leave room for too much contrast like with the others.
