So I just placed ANOTHER order on All_city's white cold cathodes.
I left a message to them:
"Hey, Please make sure you ship out WHITE cold cathodes, as I received the wrong coloured cold cathodes last time. Thanks!"
Hopefully this time they ship out the right one.
I might set up a complaint in PayPal for the cold cathodes I have right now after I test their colour to make sure they really aren't white.
I figured in the meantime of all this dispute of receiving the wrong item, I can have my new one shipped to me instead of waiting for the claim to go through, then shipping the old one back, then wait until they ship, then wait until the new one gets to my house: almost a month of time wasted!
They can just ship me a damn new one that I paid another full price for so I can receive it in a week from ordering heheh. All the while I get my money back from the wrong cold cathode.

Do you maybe have a saltwater fishtank you can use them in!?!?
Guess what...you can likely resell em on ebay and maybe even make a profit. I BET they are the ones that fishtank guys use. OR just get your money back.
Sorry they didn't work. I hate when I get the wrong/damaged/missing part products.
Just had to return a foam gun to amazon...missing the siphon tube and little thingy that creats the foam. Dammit...took me 10 minutes to realize I didn't have foam, I had a soapy mess and water. Did the same though, ordered new one and NOW sent old one back.

This is my first time I've ordered something and had a "problem".
I just contacted the seller via eBay's email system, and hopefully he replies, but if not, I'll process a complaint through eBay or PayPal.
I actually plan on exchanging this UV one for another white one so I'll have two cold cathodes:
1 for my License Plate
1 for my trunk light!
I might sell it myself if things don't work out but I'm sure he'd let me at least trade it back for a white one.

Thanks =)
Might as well since I'm gonna have two cold cathodes once I return these UV ones hehe
Tough to say but my LED in the trunk right now is actually not bright at all. I need something brighter.

Just want em bright to be like the cool kids

I paid $21.93 for this one I received.
$10 is the cost of the cold cathode and 11 bucks was for shipping.
Shipping inside the US is free. Lucky you guys heheh
The second one I just bought (and I hope they send me the right one!) was $15.90
$10 is the cost of the cold cathode and $5.95 for shipping.
Both products are the same, and both show shipping as "Standard Int'l Shipping" so I don't know why the price is different LOL
I just really hope they send me white ones for my license plate.
Then I'll deal with returning these UV ones for white ones for my turnk (no rush).
Thanks, mate!

I gotta see how bright yours come out...I am also concerned with the whites all matching...sidemarkers, front parking lights, lows and fogs...but I'm sure it'll be close. Since they are on the back, it's probably fine.

I just checked PayPal and it says the item shipped today.
The seller just doesn't mark the item as shipped on eBay I suppose

I just hope they are white and not something like UV or pink or green lol
He hasn't replied to my eBay message about the cold cathodes he sent being the wrong colour...
What do you guys suggest I do?
Go ahead and take action via PayPal or eBay?

. All the hard work and effort you have put into yours paid off nicely. I like the headlights, updated grill(s), and Accord fog-lights. If I was to do any kind of work on my front bumper, I had decided that I will just do both a type-s front and rear conversion with a-spec lip(S).

I meant the license, NOT the trunk! The panel style led's I have are actually SUPER bright already...so might leave that alone. But I am tempted by the Cold Cathode's.
J.
GP...there is a minimum amount of days you have to wait for a response, but after that time passes, you DO put in a claim via paypal.
BUT, if the cst svc sucks you may get stuck paying more for shipping back to them, Maybe cut your losses and try and resell locally to someone?

He sent me back an email on Jan 20 1:20PM, telling me "they should be white. try them out and see what color"
I email him back on Jan 20 3:49PM asking him if it's worth opening the box up and trying them out since they clearly don't look like white cold cathodes and the box says UV.
No reply.
Today is Jan 25th...
Should I file a claim through PayPal yet?
wait couple days to see....message the guy to see if he shipped it out....if he doesnt respond in 2 day, disputeeeeee....

I might sell the cold cathode myself, or cut my $20 loss.
I hope he replies and send me back white ones though for my trunk light!
EDIT: Just checked my eBay feedback and he left another positive feedback for the second set of cold cathodes I bought lol

OKay here are the pics I just took:
Prep work done:

Installed:
WARNING: DIRTY CAR!!!
I just hand washed it yesterday too!!!!
That's the thing about living up in Canada I guess...

Overall, the install took me a while.
Just making the new lens for the license plate lights took up half the time.
The lights also didn't work the first couple times.
First time, it didn't work so I cut off some wire insulation from the stock license plate wires, so the connector would touch the wire, and go through the insulation.
That didn't work.
Second time, I said screw it. So I ghetto rigged it and just spliced the Cold Cathode wire with the stock license plate wires and electric taped it up.
Worked haha
Definitely bright as FAACKK when fully warmed up.
A lot whiter than my LEDs since my LEDs were 6k.
Probably gonna go wash my car again tonight, and go on a photoshoot hehe

Nicely done! Love how it looks...I may end up doing this for my car and my fiancee's accord too...
the links were broken at work for some reason!
J
Not to be a PITA...but would you mind making a vid of you locking/unlocking the car and how it looks please?!?!
I'm still wondering how it lights up when it's a quick blink.

Thanks guys!
Uploading photoshoot I just did.
I'll try to get a video for you Rockstar.
I know for sure when the tubes are warmed up, and you lock your car, they will flash at full brightness.
When you unlock your car after you let it sit a while, it will of course not be bright and have to warm up heheh

Okay here it goes!
WARNING: Amateur photographer with point and shoot camera.
Just detailed the interior:
303 on the dash, Lexoled the leather

Washing the car:

Headed to a cool looking building I usually pass when I work my "seasonal" job.

More of the cold cathodes:
I absolutely love how the light spreads out so far beyond the car's width!
Something my LEDs definitely didn't do!
