the garage is actually very difficult to get the lighting right

Some new pictures
The driver side puddle light LED blew out last week, so I ordered the new 3W version which is supposed to be 3x brighter. Only downside was it was only available in 11mm, and my current LEDs are 16mm so the hole in my side mirror is too big.
I came up with different options including filling in the 16mm with body filler and drilling a 11mm hole where it used to be.
I eventually came up with the idea to put the 11mm LED inside the 16mm LED's casing.
Lots of work, but it worked out. This way I didn't have to mess with the mirror, and it was a direct replacement.
I should have pictures of those tonight.
The brightness on these new 3W LED bolts is phenomenal. It lights up the whole side of the car instead of just the front.

Also do the cops really have nothing better to do than pull over motorists for blacked out tail-lights? Like window tint I can understand but goddamn Quebec... my buddy has blacked out heads and tails on his 128i and has NEVER been pulled over in the year he`s had them.

Yes it is, but that they don't bother too much with it here. If the tails look like they could have been like this from the manufacturer it's usually fine. If you painted with VHT or there's a vinyl though they'll pull you over eventually.
