Thanks everyone for ALL your inputs..
Lowering is coming i swear lol just in steps my friends....Navy doesn't pay me enough lol
As for Liquor store comments....I swear I was there for Monsters and Chips lol and its the closest one to where my Girl lives haha
BforBrian..I understand completely but I am just an average highway driver thats on deployment for 8 months out of a year haha so not really worried about my Fast and the Furious after life
I got the rims and tires (Falkens) all mounted and TPMS with Locking Lugs for around $1500 and that was exactly as much as I was looking too spend
I actually like the center caps even though it is "fake" I think it adds a sport look to the luxury but who knows I might change them back to the chrome ones to match the lip
ChiCity...yeh i know I got lucky for being stationed in Cali...I was in Great Lakes (North Chicago) for 1.5 years and fuck that...so damn cold

$1500 for the whole set up? Hook a brother up with the info!
I've always been a huge fan of the LMs but at >$3000 per set, they are way out of my price range.
Thank you for your service! My uncle was in the Navy.

Three Wheelin'
You got a good price! I got my 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 brand new in the boxes for 300.00 and then tires for another 650.00! so 950.00 for a staggered set of knock off wheels... ill take that any day over a 3k set of wheels with no tires! They look great and will look even better once dropped!

I'm not loaded; it's called saving for quality products and being patient. All i'm trying to say is you get what you pay for; there's a reason why 'omg you got them for such a good deeeaaalllll'.. they're made out of cast. And no, you don't need to track your car or race it to get forged wheels but the ability to withstand harsh roads and display resilience is greatly diminished with cast wheels, commonly the material used by replica manufacturers. Replica wheels are made using the cheapest manufacturing method available (gravity casting). This is when molten aluminum is simply poured into a mold and allowed to cool off. This method results in a wheel that has lesser density aluminum, since no pressure is applied (most factory wheels use a what's called low pressure casting method). What this really means is that the replica wheels are much more likely to get bent or cracked, since they are made from much weaker, more porous material.
And for the record, I don't buy wheels brand new from distributors for 3600, I do my research and get good deals on quality wheels that are mostly used. For some odd reason people on this site think every set of wheels I owned was bought brand new...
Do the wheels look nice? Well yes, they're a damn good match to BBS LM's and look fantastic but that's exactly what these replica companies want you to see lol. As are varrstoens an excellent match to Volk racing wheels.
But for what it's worth, the stock wheels made by enkei are probably more reliable than your replicas. Why? Replica companies have been out for.. a year? two? Enkei has been manufacturing OEM wheels for cars and provide track-purpose wheels for the performers since 1950 in Japan. They go through millions miles of testing as well as millions of dollars in research and development, in order to make sure that the wheel will withstand the rigors of everyday driving and harsh road / weather conditions.
So what kind of liquor did you buy?

Well bforbrian,
That summed up a lot and like I said I am not even on land 5-6 months out of the year so for me to come home from deployment and drive 1.5 hours to my lady on weekends and back down. I don't see a "need" to buy the real LMs unless I decide to be some kind of track or drag guy.
I didn't go cheap on tires and made sure they were rated over the normal conditions I drive so if that eases your mind in away way.
Liquor?....Im not much of a drinker but I did buy 2 monsters and a bag of chips

what hes saying is that that replicas are cheaply made so you have a higher chance of bending them or cracking them versus a more higher end wheel. btw the LM replicas look good. if you know where to look you can find good deals on 2 or 3 piece wheels.
