Windshield tint ftmfw!

I retinted mine for the third time. It looks so dope that is why we do it

Night time visibility is altered a little bit, but not anywhere we cannot see

Ah. So jealous. I wish I could tint my windshield.

Its definitely illegal in VA, but thats not necessarily stopping me. The problem is we have inspection stickers on our windshields that get replaced yearly. So I'd have to replace the tint every year, every time the inspection sticker is removed. PITA.

 

I think its illegal in every state. illinois doesnt have inspections so i should be good

I had the windshield tinted on my MDX, I love the look but hate it at night! Makes your HID's look like normal headlights. But like i said it looks sick!

 

man i live in nyc i have to replace inspection every year. Its no where close to a pita. Lmao

 

It isn't a PITA to remove the tint, replace the inspection sticker, and re-tint every year? I think that's what he was saying.

Yeah pretty much. In order to remove the window inspection sticker and replace it with a new one, you'd definitely damage the tint. Meaning you'd need new tint yearly....and you'd also fail safety inspection with a windshield tinted here in VA, So either way you'd need to have it removed

What spacers did you get? and also what is the thread pitch? and did you get hub rings?

they are the hubicentric ichiba wheel spacers and they came with the hub rings. Sorry im confused whats a thread pitch? lol

haha That was my question. Where did you get yours? I was looking on heel toe and it was asking me for the thread pitch and I was like heh?

 

not a bad look at all (i have one too). 35%'s dark, but you can't argue the aesthetic appeal a little annoying to drive with when the sun's not out, but otherwise...it's perfect! drive safe!

 

Oh hell yes, black roof will set it off nice. Should run up to about $200 all said and done from a shop to have it vinyled. Or you could buy the vinyl and DIY.

I'd definitely rather do Vinyl than paint...I don't like paintwork (unless its completely necessary) and most buyers (in the future) wouldn't either. Vinyl is always removable, so if you decide you don't like it or if you decide to sell the car in the future, it's not a bad idea. And most of the time its cheaper than paint

 

Yup, plus the fact that FFX cops and state cops in this general area are all over everything! Main reason I've been skeptical about taking off the front tag

I like the look of everything except those greddy's. They may sound good but ughhh they just look ricer'ish to me. Maybe it's just me.

 

yeah they've grown on me though. Im putting the complete aspec kit on this weekend so the back lip will make them look a lot better and less "big"

aspec kit is going to make your car look so much better...how low are you dropped? My coilovers come in 5 days im so excited haha dont know how low im going to go tho. I need to order spacers asap because I will also be running on stock rims until I can afford a set of rims

 

Thanks man, i actually just put the aspec kit on and my summer rims and just posted a thread. check it out in the picture forum. Im on tein basics dropped about 2 1/2 inches i think. I could still go lower if i wanted to but i rub with my summer rims so my current height is good.

im in for a meet up. i actually go to the same school as chicity. the tint looks dope. i also have my windshield tinted 35% and i love it. im suggesting a black roof to compliment the tinted front and rear windshields

no need to replace the tint if u follow my lead lol... make a cutout where the sticker goes and ull b good to go trust me i had windshield tint b4... getting it redone by the summer
