Good news...
My wheels finally arrived!!!
After a 3 month wait, I got them all mounted up. They look right at home and the rear lip is crazy. Here's some shots I took with my Evo 4g:
And now for the bad news... what took 3 months to be created took all of 6 days to be destroyed!!!

I'll wait til this claim is resolved...
Thx man... The front wheel had a chunk knocked out the lip and a bunch of scuffs... my insurance co has been on point so far, so this should be taken care of!

Thx guys... I'm still waiting to hear back from insurance co on wheter the car will be repaired or not. I'm kinda torn, on one hand I want my baby back but on the other I don't want to have a problem on my hands plus have to deal with the loss of value. We shall see!
Also... I gotta thank Acura for building quality cars, this car took a big hit and the pics don't justify it. I am very thankful I was able to walk away from this. A few years ago my Mom's 2000 TL was T-boned and the passenger side of her car was pushed all the way into the center console and she was pinned against a guard rail. She walked away with minor cuts and bruises. Needless to say either way I will be driving an Acura once this is all over

... thanks to God that you're writing this thread yourself... 6 years ago on the 12th of August, my son's Mother and good friend were killed by a careless trucker...
... Blessings on your new ride!!! (when you get one...)

WOW I'm surprised they totaled that out, doesn't look like its all that bad...but then again when I got side swiped and my mirror knocked off that was about 2k in damages just for a scratch, replace one mirror, replace two tires and repair a rim. At least your ok...keep your head up!

Thx for all the well wishes...
Question... I'm at the point where I need to start discussing the value for my car. It was an 07 w/ about 52,000 miles. Would KBB be a good idea for an idea of value? What else factors into this? I only owed about 11,000 on it so I should have a nice down payment for a new vehicle. Thx guys

That sucks. It's exactly what I'm afraid of. Dump a ton of money into it just to get it totaled. How hard was the hit?
What color is the interior? Just wondering if you're parting it out, I need some seats.

They revised the estimated value and sent me a check for a more reasonable amount.
Make sure you do your research on what comparable TLs, with similar miles in Philly are selling for. Don't forget the obvious, Navi vs. Non-Navi. Check the newspaper and cars.com.

Update: After driving numerous new and used vehicles, I decided to stay in the Honda/Acura family (my 4th straight). I picked up a '07 TL Type S color combo CBP w/ Ebony/silver. The car had a little more miles than I wanted, it had 48K miles but I got the dealer down to 23K for it so I'm satisfied. I originally was going to get a MRP w/ ebony/silver but the bastards at Bridgewater Acura screwed me twice. I'm not mad in the end I still got my Type S!
I came right home and put my Works on, so I'm back in business. Just need a drop and that should be done soon.

Sorry for the bad pics, I only had my Evo on me !!!
At the dealership... waiting to go home!
Gotta love the quad pipes...
I wasn't buying if it didn't have the two tone...
Shout out to my Pop for helping me switch the wheels...
And here she is with her new shoes...

Call me obsessed but the two tone Regal is what stood out to me in the first couple pictures...
Congrats on the new car. How do you like the S in comparison to the modded base?

As far a comparison, I never really got around to modding my Base TL to much (thank god). I can feel more power and better handling in the Type S, but then again that could be because I was driving a Focus since 7/25...

I'm glad to be back. For the price of this car it's hard to beat. I came very close to getting a '08 G35xS but i couldn't justify paying 32k, when the TL-S was almost 10K less. I can double up on my payment and it still is less than what I was paying for my Base TL
