Getting pretty for the Summer...
I've always had the mod bug but never got completely into it. I'm hoping this time around will be different. So far I've done a complete audio upgrade and installed the Type S Body kit. My next big mod will be a drop and rims. I picked up a set of Tein SA coils and VIP Modular VRC13's, now just to wait for the weather to break . Here's a few pics until I get everything installed

Also, I ended taking ur advice n got a nice deal on a t3i around Xmas. I got it from Amazon with a bag and a 32g SD card for $330 plus 4% back as store credit. Then I picked up a 50mm f/1.4 lens, I'm loving it so far!

Just posting up some pics that I shot with my T3i, I have no clue what I'm doing but I trying
Excuse the trash :roll eyes: Neighbors recycling bin blew over and I thought I got everything
Edit: 2 questions... I'm using Flickr to host my pics. How do I stop the tags from showing up with every pic I post? 2nd when you click my pics is goes to my Flickr page, does that give access to my complete album? What if I have pics in there I don't want to be viewed by everyone ?
Here's some shots of my audio install. I had a lot of trouble with the original install and ended up going to Don Amann (Unexpected Creations) to have things straightened out. I'm still having issues with mids blowing, but Don (no fault of his) is addressing that for me. I have nothing but good things to say about Don, I highly recommend him.
The amp rack with cover on. I'd like to have it relocated to the spare tire well but with the state of Philly streets that's not likely. The rack holds a JL Audio HD900/5, HD600/4 and a Mosconi 6to8 DSP.

My Wicked CAS sub enclosure w/ JL Audio 12w6v3. I've had the enclosure for about 6 years and it's seen 2 cars and 3 subs, it's definitely durable. I'm going to have this and the amp rack cover recovered in factory matching carpet.

The way around that is to view them as their own page (right click, view all sizes) and the you can copy the image URL and post it here.

Minor updates...
Had my rims mounted and balanced a couple weeks back.

Got the rears mounted with no problem

But the fronts were sent in the wrong size. They didn't clear the brembo brakes. I spoke with VIP and they told me that I was told I would need at least a 3mm spacers for the front. I don't remember that convo and would have never agreed to order rims that needed spacers. However, what's done is done so I ordered the spacers and waited their arrival.

In the mean time I put on my old Summer rims, Work Varianza T1S.
The whole rim fitment issues cost me time because that day I had an appt to get my coilovers and alignment done. I wanted to have the right wheels on when I did so. However, since last week I have come to the conclusion that I will not be putting the VIP wheels on. Philly streets are too rough right now and I can't see me beating a new set of wheels the way I did the Works. So they'll be going up for sale in the BM soon. But I'm still going to have my drop done as soon as time permits.
Also I'll be changing out my head unit just as soon as my installer receives my replacement mid bass speakers

Had a Pioneer AVH-4000NEX installed over the weekend. Haven't really had a chance to play with it but from what I briefly heard it sounds much better (to me) than the stock radio. I plan on filling in the circles and having the trim pieces hydrodipped in carbon fiber soon.
P.S. Please excuse the dirty mats and dash, detail coming soon

Great build! FWIW, unless VIP Modular had first-hand experience with TL's and the exact wheel spec you ordered, they have no idea if they will clear the Brembos.

Wow, car is really coming along nicely! I'm impressed by the stereo also. Now that I'm in my car 2 hours a day, I'm thinking its probably about time to have my Focals installed up front that I've had in a closet for a year now.

Nope, haven't got a quote yet but I'll let you know when I do.
Now for my latest frustrating update. Originally the Rep from VIP advised me I was told I needed 3mm (which I wasn't) so I went ahead and ordered 5mm ones to be sure. Welp went to install the rims today and sure enough they don't fit with the 5mm spacers. Now I'm being told I should try 8mm ones. At this point I either want wheels that are going to fit my car without spacers or they can just take these back. I'm not going to keep playing around with these guys. I didn't spend what I did to be playing the guessing game with offsets. So now I'm waiting til Monday to see what my options are.

Wheel fitment help...
I didn't want to start a new thread. I figured I could get some wheel help in the one I had going already. As you can see (if you've been following along) I'm having fitment issues with the stock brembo brakes. The wheels that I was sold for my car were (f) 19x8.5 +35 and (r) 19x9.5 +38. The rear wheels fit but the front would not clear the brakes. I ordered a 5mm spacer and the wheels still don't clear. The rep from VIP is going to make me new wheels for the front but I want to be sure that they will fit. What's the best offset to go with to clear the brakes but still have a concave look? Also, I want to be able to lower my car about 2 inches (fenders rolled) with a 225/35/19 tire. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I finally got the wheels installed. Ended up needing 10mm spacers upfront and I put the 5mm ones on in the rear since I had them. I like how they look on the car, just not feeling the whole spacer idea. Hopefully the Rep keeps his word and makes a new set with the proper fitment for me. Here's some pics from my iPhone for now, I'll try to get better ones today.
