When searching autotrader and/ or cars.com a few weeks ago I saw him selling. There was no mention of a swap or any problems, it was for sale as an actual 6 speed tl not a swapped automatic. Seemed shady that there was no disclosure of any problems or that it was originally an automatic. I thought he may have at least replaced the case with the money he got back from Paul and was then going to try to sell it. Glad pushfour didn't get stuck with someone else's problems.

How in the world do you try selling a manual car with an automatic gauge cluster. I'd immediately be like "wtf is going on here?". As soon as I would see that, I'd be asking 562839472 questions as to what in the world is up with the car...

He tried to help sell those LEDs like crazy, not bad because he's trying to help people know not to waste their money on cheap dim bulbs.
He's a good guy though, just messed up big time.
I don't think he needs harrassing, though.
Only guy he almost screwed over was pushfour, but now that's over, that guy bought another TL instead.
He just needs to change his ad, and until then, I'm sure whoever posted that craigslist ad saying the car's not clean will suffice and get the message across.

I actually texted back and forth with a long time member that has helped tremendously and we had similar experiences. Frosty would ask for help, then when you do...then questions your help...then quietly goes and solves the problem using your suggestion and never mentions a thank your or follow up. Also confirmed he let everyone suck his dick about modding everything himself and being so smart and so young and it wasn't all true...he did not do ALL his own mods all alone.
Trust me, this had gotten big enough to not be explainable. He wasn't coming back to redeem himself.

Or maybe he felt like he discovered the next greatest alternative to HIDs, and knowing HIDs are a huge thing in the car world, he felt like he made a huge discovery and tried to share the word.

I don't know much, but I won't lie, I can understand why he thought he made a discovery of the century with a better replacement for HIDs.
HIDs are huge, one of the first mods people do to their cars.
Unfortunately most are used in halogen housing, but that's a different point.

It seems like he was the LED guy. By not admitting to being the seller, he doesn't have to pay any vendor fees on any forum. Away he goes, marketing his shit for free because he "found it on the interwebs". I dunno, maybe I'm jumping to conclusions, but he's already proved he is a greasy salesman. How else does a kid pay for mods?
Yeah, he's get wealthy parents, and I know wealthy parents have no issues buying nice cars for their kids... But I don't know any that pay for mods for their kids.
