I never like the BSM, however its a clean car... I guess you live somewhere in the AZ or NV.

Clean Type S, Nix the body moulding. Takes away from the sweet sexy body lines of the 3G TL. They look good on Audi's but not fit the TL imo

Good updates - nicely done! While not a fan of the BSM, at least they are color matched

Forgive my ignorance but unsure how to remove the side molding. Was it an option on the original purchase?

I'm assuming everyone is speaking of the line mid-door. Never paid it much attention and frankly it won't stop many door dings since I lowered it with the springs.

Id grab a heat gun warn it up and it should just be able to pull it off

I appreciate the response but would like a bit more information before I put a heat gun up against a car I just spent six hours detailing. Probably going to be a ton of residue and possible discoloration involved too. Unsure how much I want to remove the molding if this is the case. Frankly I never noticed it much prior to posting this. Seems to be a big deal to many on this site and I can appreciate that but unless this is a quick fix I'm just not that willing to get involved in a possible repaint.

Has anyone done this on a ten year old car?

They should be relatively easy to remove. Just heat it up slightly, but don't hold the gun in one spot to burn the paint. Just enough to get it pliable. Then start peeling, fishing line or dental floss helps. Some elbow grease with some goo-gone or goof-off to remove the adhesive, and some more elbow grease and compound to polish it up!

Thank you. Any ideas if discoloration from a decade of desert sun will be an issue?

Equal measures of elbow grease, the wife's hairdryer and goo gone have achieved the following...

MUCH better without the side moulding. But the shine from the wheels makes the car!

I took my time making certain the glue was warm enough and both sides took me roughly one hour total.
