Body color looks good on nbp but I think with silver flat black is the better choice.

i hit a dear a few years back in my NBP---upon repair i had my body guy paint everything but the A flat black...it really came out nice, but then someone hit my car, so i had the guy paint everything to match the car, even the A...i personally think the color matched looks better

I think that gloss black would look much better on NBP..but color matching would be even better..flat black doesn't look as clean

It would be cool if we could buy the vinyl color matched. Some vendor somewhere should offer this!

anyone have any thoughts on this? if so, what's the best method for getting the NBP paint? dealer?

thanks in advance.

I had my grill professionally painted NBP a year ago but it chipped all to hell after about 6 months.

I took the paint off and wrapped the whole thing in gloss black vinyl. It looks great, it's more durable, no chips, bubbles or imperfections. Much happier with the vinyl.

Huh, I had my grill painted and it chipped as well. Literally just got back from the paint shop for a quote for the whole thing. More durable, looks great and a heck of a lot cheaper might just change my mind.

Nice! Where'd you get the gloss vinyl? I'm trying the matte look first on my NBP but might have to switch if I don't like it as much.

Application is pretty easy, even for a beginner. Just use a heat gun and utility knife. The center bar is the hardest part. Take your time around the curved edges (heat & stretch).

The whole project took me about an hour.

I was thinking about doing this to my black acura, but thought it would be too much. I really like the way it turned out.

Did you just put the vinyl over the chrome? also did you take it off the car to apply it? going to and wanting to do the same to mine! i think its sick looking.

PAZ, have any pics of the detailed areas? did you just cut the vinyl in the seam or is it wrapped around it. I'm curious on how you did that. thanks

Thanks. Yes, the vinyl is over the chrome and I took the pieces off the car first. You can probably do it w/o taking the grill parts off, but I thought it would look better/cleaner this way.

No pics, but that was one of the most difficult parts (The curved area around the logo was hard too). I didn't cut the vinyl, just carefully pressed it into the seam. Avoiding bubbles or wrinkles is the challenge.

5 ft x 1 ft. It was more than enough to do the grill.

FYI the cf from sticker city has no gloss to it. Little disappointed but it looks 1000 times better then my chipped up painted grill.
