Finished Woodgrain Interior!!!
Don't you love the sound of a FedEx truck stopping aside your driveway on your day off?
I do.
I installed a woodgrain shift knob a few days ago and was waiting for a few other woodgrain pieces to finish up the job. None of these are aftermarket junk that don't belong or don't flow with the TL's interior. All are OEM Acura parts that Acura just so happened to not include (probably unless you specially ordered or asked for).
Anyway, here's a few pictures and a link to my album if you want to check out all the before an after shots:

I basically didn't want to 'cheap out' and not get every piece Acura sold.

I'm trying not to overkill it. I still want the steering wheel, but that is a bit pricey at $400.
I basically wanted the center of the car's interior to have woodgrain, but spread out. The rear a/c took a while to make my mind up on, but as I've said, it looks really good in person. It does stand out on tan interior in pictures.

Rob...you like it-that's all that matters. I like the look too. Nice job on the install. The woodgrain down the center looks good. It's a nice compliment to your color interior.

The fact is, it came with a good bit of woodgrain already, and the main interior is a real light tan.
I won't lie; I like the carbon fiberish look a LOT better. But only if the seats and the rest of the interior is dark. I thought about replacing every wood piece in mine with the carbon, but it still would look like shit with tan or 'parchment' seats, roof, doors, floor, and center console. And I'm not about to replace all of that to match with the carbon fiber.
To each his own, of course. I personally had to get used to the woodgrain itself, but now it flows really well. The rear a/c is slight overkill though....

You gotta get the woodgrain steering wheel so you can be wood grain grippin with both hands hehe. Im not a big fan of wood grain but it looks nice with your interior, you are right carbon fiber would look out of place in your car. You gotta finish the kit now like DMZ up there

I think your car looks great!
I have the oem woodgrain around my cupholders also, but I have yet to get the shifter knob and the pieces for the rear console.
I really like the look and I plan on getting them whenever I can. Where did you get your parts from? I've found quite a few places with the parts but I was just wondering.
Keep it clean

Thanks. I wasn't a fan of woodgrain at all before I bought this TL.

Rob, I agree with you. Actually, this picture above looks good. If you decide to get this kit, the only thing I would suggest is NOT putting on the far outside woodgrain trim on your center console. Just leave that part stock-with the silver from Acura....it will make a big difference between looking just right or being too much.
Plus, I think the guys are right. Definitely look in to the woodgrain steering wheel. It would REALLY complete the look. You can barely see it in this picture.

Too many replies to quote each one.
Carbon fiber wins my vote over woodgrain, but only with dark interior....which I do not have.
To the people without any woodgrain (i.e. have carbon), the woodgrain does look more luxurious in person compared to pictures.
I would have added the same pieces to the car if I happened to have carbon anyway.
free598, that is just way too much woodgrain for my taste; but it would be too much carbon fiber for my taste too. I didn't know there were even that many trim pieces.
My opinion is that less is more, but you have to have enough too. Right before I test drove my car, I looked around to absorb all of the scenery. To me, the woodgrain was a very nice touch over plain black abs plastic. But it looked like some pieces could have been added. When I found Acura part numbers for the other pieces, they made sense. I still think the rear a/c was a bit much though. But I never sit in the back so I don't really care.
I'd like to get the steering wheel as the last and final piece of woodgrain. The best I can get it at the dealer for is $415.20 (20% off retail customers' price). Ebay is a bit cheaper. It's not something important enough for me to dump around 400 on. I have other things that take priority.
I'm not putting woodgrain on that. I need to replace the silver pieces though, due to the previous owner scratching the shit out of them.
I might have another plan though, when I'm ready to replace those.
