Cool Finally got HIDs in my fogs and got my lows working again! (pics)

and I got my Mitsubishi ignitor working for my OEMs, just had to splice the extra ground into the harness.

I ordered 5000K bulbs (Xentec) from ebay, and they look pretty blue when next to my Phillps 85122's.. but when they heat up all the way, it is the PERFECT color combination and light output! Man, I can see EVERYTHING. So happy. Just hope I don't get pulled over for the scattered light, and I hope both of my used OEM ignitors hold up as well as both of my cheap ebay ballasts.. but for the time being, I am thrilled!

Here is a pic of both bulbs on:
(they look bluer in the pic than in person)

Here is just the Phillips:

andddddddddddddddddddd both!

I am glad the Xentec ballasts worked out fine for you. Just check on them once in a while. Lights look great...I think you should do the accord fog mod and get HIDS in those as well xD. BUT FIRST get NEW RIMS asap lol.

Glad everything worked out.. and I'm sure you feel happier that you performed the surgery yourself and maintained your OEM setup for your headlights...

Thanks man! Yeah, my buddy spliced the wire for the ignitor, but I did everything else. Now just gotta do the LED .12ohm resistors so I can quit hyperblinking..

and so true on the OEM.. it really is so much nicer quality than that cheap ebay shit.. just hope the OEM ignitors last for at least a year.. hope the other original one doesnt conk out like its brother did

Also just an observation from the pics.. you need to adjust your headlights angling. Your cutoff is off. You have 3 steps.. should only be 2. Search the forums or look in the manual on directions to adjust.

You don't need to remove the bumper to adjust your headlights. It's in the owner's manual as well as a few threads on this forum.

Looks good Gator. I know when something isn't right with my Type S, it feels like it's been in an accident and I can't wait to get it fixed.

yeah man... it was SO frustrating having a headlight go out one month after dropping $100 for some new bulbs, considering the original ones were working perfectly since I bought the car. I was mad at myself for changing things up. wishing I would have left well enough alone. But after getting a lot of support and advice on here, spending $50 for another ignitor isn't a big deal, assuming this setup lasts for an adequate amount of time without issues. Adequate being about a year or so..
