Fellow TLr's 2004 TL

Hellow All,
This is the TL I purchased back in October. After driving it off the lot, I immediatly headed over to the local wheel house and purchased my 19s riding on Fakin ST115 235 35 ZR19s. Soon after that, I had the car's suspension upgraded with Comptech springs.

I really like your setup. What kind of rims do you have on your TL?

Thank you all for the comps. The tires are 35 series and the ride is less cush than the factory wheels and tires. But the answer to Tom the Cop is, No, I'm not affraid of the wheels being bent. The wheels are B52s.

I think the rims look real nice! Would 235/40's fit?

Thanks!

Nice job!!! What tires are you running on? And what is the width of the rim? How many inches did you lower your car and do you have any rubbing problems? Keep up the good work dude!!

Hello ed99,
Thanks for the comps. To answer your question regarding the tires and the width of the wheel.... I was interested in keeping the factory offset and the factory width. The tires are Falken ST115 235 35 ZR 19s. The wheels are 7.5 inch width with a 45 mm offset.

Because I knew I was going to replace my springs with Comptechs (lowered approx 1 inch), I didn't want to use the other wheel option 8.5 inch rims with a 38 mm offset. I would have surely rubbed when turning because the car is lowered.

The overall diameter of the wheel is identical to the factory wheel set-up.

Definitely a wicked tire & wheel combo!! Don't believe you answered the window tint question. I have the same interior as you & wonder how dark one should go.

Mtl-04TL,
I didn't go with the LIMO tint. I went considerably lighter. I don't know the percentage rating on the tint. As you can see, one can see through my back window pretty easily. Thanks for the comps.

Nice Ride!

Great looking set of wheels.

I have a NBP with the camel interior also. Consider this one of the nicest
colour combos available up here in

For some unknown reason Acura seems to think we Canadians are of a lesser
breed and do not offer the range of exterior/interior combinations available to
our American neighbours. Nor, and blame this on our pencil headed pea brained
legislators, do we get to enjoy the XM radio. HELLO... like we'renot all sitting around
roasting buffalo over open camp fires up here. Anyway... I digress... Nice ride, biased as I am.

Safe driving

TL42

That is not correct. It is the OVERALL DIAMETER of the wheel what changes the speedo readout, not the tire width. As he said, his combination has the ecxact same diameter as the stock setup.

Oh damn, I was thinging about getting black but i was scared of the upkeep. If i could do it all over again..(it would be black) You have the perfect combination though. I'm having a had time finishing my car. I just need to get coilovers but i'm scared of ruining the ride. (Oh and A-spec kit is nexted for me, should make a nice christmas present)

I could only imagine the attention you get with that combination

Whiteowl,
Thanks for the comps. I have to see (share) pics of your carport and the way you baby your TL's toes.

6speedv6,
Thanks. I do enjoy driving it and the way it puts a smile on my face as I approach it. It's a big turn on when someone rolls down their window at a stop light to give me comps.

Thanks

No Doubt! I'm looking forward to that day. We do have a test track at the dealership where I bought my car. Looks Fun!

Is that you and your TL Pedro?
