Ok. In all seriousness, I started the Facebook group for a LOCAL members of the tristate area Many people do not use Acurazine, and we have many Acura's in the tri-state area, that is why I started the group. Many people are in the group that have never even logged into Acurazine.
I know we have regional forums but the facebook way is a much better way to connect. It gets everyone together at one place, we can discuss meets, shops, cars, food, etc, etc. Its NOT just Acura, its a bit of everything. Think of it like the ramblings, but in this case we know everyone in there. We can share pictures and ask a quick question, or get advice on upcoming mods/purchases. You can't do that on the regional forum, people would be starting a thread for every small thing.
Cesarrod, is a funny member of the group, he was joking, I am not sure why its causing so many problems. No illegal activities occur at the meet, we simply talk, eat, laugh and go home. Once in a while we have some problems with the cops (cops love to ruin meets because they are cops), we always move and leave. And in any case, Acurazine is not mentioned at all. We are always respectful and try our best to avoid a hassle with the law.
If any mods have a question feel free to ask on here, I created this group, I have a few co-admins running the group as well. The reason the group is private is because we like to see whose joining and it allowed us to control and filter out the trolls.
I have seen these groups on Audizine, Bimmerpost, and Benz-World. None of the admins have a problem with alternate groups being setup on Facebook, they realize how beneficial it is.
