F**k potholes

Well +100 rice points for me. I'm rocking the civic-style mismatched wheels thanks to a pothole taking out my driver front tire. I put the stockers back on the front (both sides) until I can get this sorted. Rim is straight. Happy birfday to me, thanks DOT!

how when all you do is change out the wheel, since the lugs are still easily accessible (the reason for the real ones having that huge plate on it, so you can't just change out the wheel, and off you go)

the real denver boots are not drop friendly....everyone of my lugs is a lock...i know they could still remove the locks if they want...but its just one more extra thing they have to do if they want the car....anyway even with the boot your talking about they can still drag your car onto a flatbed and tow it away....

so what of denver are you located in then.... (since obviously you still live with your mom MOMMA's BOY )

but yes it is one more thing to make the thiefs move onto the next car though, and they have to deal with

edit: never mind i see guido plates

Theres a lot of pot holes in Hawaii and when I hit one I filled out some forms and figured out if it was on a county or state road. In the end the state paid for the damages. Does NJ have something similiar?

^ They do, and I'm going to give it a try. Supposedly if you jump through all of their hoops you can get it covered. One catch is that if no one has reported the pothole, then they are not "negligent" for not having fixed it. So, I used the website to report this pothole yesterday. I will wait until at least Friday and then call in a damage claim.

I was really bummed about it yesterday, but I think I've got it all in perspective now. I could have a lot bigger problems than this. Well, in fact, I DO have a lot bigger problems than this, but who's counting?

the potholes seem to bad everywhere-They are here on the coast of NC. They had an article in the paper showing some of the potholes in the Wilmington area and what to do if you hit one causing damage.

Did you just blow the tire? And hey, much better than riding on the donut. As my sister did when she hit one in her old TL..

It just took out the tire (bubble in the sidewall) the rim looks OK. I'll be checking on that spot every day this week to see if it has been fixed. If it gets fixed this week I will call and say that I hit it the day before it was fixed, or if it is still bad on Friday I will call and report the damage on Friday. I'm not being dishonest, it is their shitty fucked up road that caused the damage. If I have to play this "negligent" game in order to get this rightfully fixed, I will. Crossing my fingers! I think this weekend I'll put the other 2 stock wheels back on... I feel like a jerk driving around like this.

Sorry about your luck. Sounds like it is like that all over. Roads suck here in GA as well. Good luck getting it paid for.
