I've never been a fan of most aftermarket wheels because they often look over the top (imo) although some simpler ones are often really sweet looking too.

It cost me 600$ but that's including straightening out 3 wheels. They don't actually powdercoat them. The primer is powdercoated on but then the color and clear are just sprayed over it, that's what they told me their process was. The finish is perfect so powdercoated or not I'm happy

Yeah thanks again for that. I needed another set of wheels urgently since I was paying 70$ twice a yerar to have the tires mounted and everything
Ahhhh yes I remember you two meeting!

There's def no waffles around MTL sensibly priced.

Also that $70 a year is kinda expensive, but I guess those times are over now. :P

70$ twice a year*

once to put summers on wheels, then another 70$ to put back winters on wheels

If you want and are in the MTL area I can give you the contact info for the shop, it's really big and it was recommended to me by my boss who knows his stuff. After dealing with them I'd definitely recommend them too. Only negative feedback I would give though is they don't give out their color code (I wanted to paint my center caps myself). I'm gonna try and pry a bit because if I ever need touch ups I don't wanna have to pay out the ass for them

I'm actually in the province of New brunswick so I prob wouldn't be making the trip for that but thank you for the heads up on that bruh!

shop Im going to is reputable and would def give me the code.. I think I'm going to go the powder coat route though. I don't know what I'm going to do about my centre caps tho, you can't powder coat plastic LOL

your wheels look awesome tho, looks like they did a sweet job there... and Im sure you could find something close to match the caps??

forgive me if I missed something but is your car at stock height??

I had them do my caps. 10$ each so it's not too bad. Still the fact they wouldn't give me the code kind of bugs me.

I am at stock height. I have a-spec springs in my garage waiting to be installed. I don't think I'd go lower than that since I already have a little trouble in a couple of places at stock height on Montreal streets..

Yeah the price isn't bad but still. I just got them and while they look good I'm a little disappointed that the acura logo isn't black anymore, I thought they'd leave it black.. Good paint job though but it's not a hard job in the first place.

Exterior detailing took place today

The car was washed, clayed, polished and sealed. The whole job took about 4-5 hours.

I used some 5$ ebay clay, meguiar's m205 with white pads and Klasse sealant.

We also gave a good wash to my father's car, a complete detailing will be done soon.

Ohh and my type-s wheels were refinished and put on about a month ago too!! They're a little darker than stock, nice color imo.

Sadly, one of them already has a small chip on it, I'll have to figure out what to do about it soon.

I finished around 6h30 pm and it was already somewhat cloudy to begin with. I'll try and get sunshine pics on Friday. I barely did any paint correction, only polished the whole car and used m105 once or twice.

Installed my LED DRLs yesterday. I broke the last pair of bulb that I bought while trying to install them. I ended up buying some Morimoto XB led from TRS. They're bright as hell, really happy with the results. I don't have pictures in direct sunlight but they're definitely bright enough to be easily visible under intense sun.

Yeah but it's still not where I want it to be. I have to fix my inspires, they're not set up the way I want them too. Also, I won't be able to drop it this summer I think. Between fixing the fogs, painting and installing the a-spec sides and rear and fixing my calipers, there won't be time for a drop

Have you decided on a date for your trip to MTL?

Maybe this weekend I can make the trip out if it's nice out!

You got your hands on A-Spec sides?

Yeah. They're NBP though so I'll have to paint them as well as the rear I got last year. Fixing the inspires is the priority though, need them to work ASAP.

You better have a beer with me GP16 or ima feel left out.

Looking good Eddie, nicer looking DRL is something I have to tackle at some point. I don't like the yellow but then again I don't want to blind incoming traffic.

Jokes aside don't feel obliged. Eddie's in MTL and I have never met him. The TL scene is nowhere to be found in Canada.

Those DRLs aren't going to blind anybody honestly. They're not significantly brighter than stock DRLs, they might even be just as bright. Of course if you have them on during the night then it's another story since they're not aimed anywhere in particular and might very well end up directly in someone's eyes. I just make sure to turn my low beams on as soon as the sun sets and I haven't had a problem yet.

I also didn't realize we had something going on in MTL. But yeah it'd be nice to meet up with you guys sometime soon. Maybe instagram has more TL people from Canada but here on AZine it gets pretty lonely

Yeah.. The bumper didn't match the rest of the car anyway. The clear was starting to fail where it meets the trunk too. I just can't decide if I want to paint the bumper and the lip separately or once they're assembled. Seems like a waste of paint to do them separately but I think it might look better if I paint before assembly.

I'm sure I wont!! I wanted to take care of my brakes before doing the a-spec. Now that the 4 corners are done I can go on to painting the lips
