Just got the alignment. How much do you guys usually pay for them, and do they refuse tire wear warranty if you have springs?

I'm pretty sure the standard price for a alignment "most" places is $79.99. However you can find independent small shops that will do it for about $60 out the door. Keep in mind that these prices are for a 4 wheel alignment.

I've gotten a 2 wheel alignment (correct front toe) and only paid about $30 before.

And of course anytime you modify the suspension on your car they are going to refuse any kind of warranty and blame your "springs/coilovers" to be the reason of tire wear.

I was trying to figure out why your car has so much gap still and I just noticed your tire sizes. Why did you go with a 35 series sidewall all around instead of a 40?

The guy who i got the specs from originally had the same springs as i did. I went deeper into his thread to when he bought the rims and found these specs.. but by then he hard coil overs and i still though he had teins hahaha. so yeah, ill go 30000 miles with them and just up the tire wall for the next set. Right now I'm just complacent about them.

yes still lowered on them. If you're getting 18s or have 18s, try a 225 in the from and a 235 in the back for firewall. it will fill it up nicely.

yeah around 2,000 rpm. but… i am going to experiment and wrap portions of my exhaust with header wrap. I hear that it interplays with the resonance in the piping and deletes close to 90 percent of cabin drone. the freeway kills me man hahah

I love your wheel/suspension setup. A couple questions...

1. Are you running a camber kit?

2. Any rub with passengers? weight in the trunk?

3. How is the ride quality?

I have been seriously debating a drop/rims come spring and your setup highly appeals to me. Ultimately my goal is to get a nice moderate drop without having to worry about rubbing, alignment problems, etc...

No camber, no rub, some weight, and the ride qua lit is good. It is not as good as stock, but it definitely is bearable. You lose the luxury feel, but through the bends it is a lot of fun.

If you want to throw down money get some coil overs. At least spend 1300 gs to have a really good setup. If you go with springs, teins or hr are the best. i got tein s techs. With 18s, go with 225 in the front and 235 on the back.

Did the Intake resonator delete today. Mild change in sound at lower rpms. Throttle response seems to have improved. Averaged one more mpg while driving highway. Car sounds great when you gun it. There a lot of how to's for aziners. Just remove everything past the intake resonator and reuse the vortex pipe next to the battery as an additional drop down. This is a cheaper and in my opinion more effective form of a cold air intake being that it is made of plastic rather than metal for those who live in hotter climates. Whether or not this is all just from the placebo effect, i feel as though the engine breathes a lot better and it is a free mod that's reversible! can't go wrong.
