First off, great DIY write up DesertMistTL! I have been researching this mod for months now. It would be great if it actually offered some sort of aerodynamic benefit, but at least it looks BAD@$$! Hopefully it doesn't hurt anything!
S4Play I am definitely interested in one of these!
(Has anyone else noticed these look EXACTLY like the roof "vortex generators from five years ago???)

DesertMistTl links the diffuser on eBay where it is $49. S4play links to his website where it is $190. Also included on the euroboutique website are tinctures that desetmisttl posted here of his car with the $48 diffurser and the kbp tl.
What makes the one s4play has for sale be worth $140 more?

i believe s4play was the original, all the cheaper ones are replicas unfortunately.
I have an 04-06 A-spec kit that I haven't installed yet. I'm bumping an old thread b/c this looks like a cool idea for my 05 NBP. I just with the pictures were still there. I swear I saw them a few weeks ago lol.
It is pretty simple actually. Jack up the rear, hold it in place with tape, mark holes, drill, fasten, lower car to ground and stand back to stare at it.
So the S4Play replica diffuser was temporarily sold out on eBay, which bummed me out. I initially waited too long to bite the bullet. However, I noticed it was back "in stock" earlier this morning, so I purchased one for myself . It looks like there are 9 left and I'm not sure if more will be available. I just wanted to send a friendly FYI to anyone else who may be considering this.
Alright, so I finally took my diffuser out of the packaging and started to scheme how I would attach to my 2005 A-Spec rear lip.
Many of you have done this with great success on the 07-08 Type-S A-Spec bumpers. From what I can see, you guys have a nice flat-ish area (directly under the center grill) where you can screw/clip this in place after cutting around the tow hook. Unfortunately, I'm having a little difficultly seeing how this would work "well" with the 04-06 A-spec.
As you can see, there is a raised molding around the tow hook, so the diffuser won't necessarily sit flat with the bottom of the bumper. That raised molding area potrudes pretty far back, so cutting that much out of the diffuser is an option (maybe), but it comes almost all the way to the back of the diffuser, making it almost impossible. Also, I've noticed that the rear lip curves upwards pretty drastically, so you see a lot of the diffuser when it is in place. I've only seen one other person do this on an 04-06, which is highlighted in this thread, but those are just "after" shots, so it's tough to know what exact cutting and mounting locations were used.
I don't really want to cut my bumper, so maybe cutting a huge half-circle in the diffuser is my only option. I'm wondering if anyone has any other ideas, tips, or tricks? I'd love to see some other pictures of this installed on other 2004-06s.
I'm not in a rush. I'd rather do it once and do it right the first time.
