So it's probably not too great for the car to just spray it without disassembly?
Could tape something behind the grille so it doesn't get any further than the grill? I wanna do this but I'm too damn lazy to take it apart lol

The first time I did it I left the bumper on te car and taped off around it with paper behind the opening in the grille. The second time I had the bumper off the car
I like what you did.
I did the entire grill and surrounding trim on my WDP. Still thinking about possibly taking off the plastidip on the trim pieces. OR maybe just accenting that middle bar w/removing the indented horizontal channel. The back A emblem and trim turned out great too!
Either way it'll look great once I install the A-Spec body kit!

Nice job. This is still my favorite (cheap) mod that I have done on my car. I did everything but the "A" on my grille, just like Layjay007's. I'm thinking of getting an amped embelm on the front, so at night time it looks like a floating, glowing "A" in the middle.
I had paper behind the grill, surprisingly not much gets through anyway, probably because I sprayed at angles to hit all the parts.
Watch the video on dipyourcar.com, great tips like don't tape tight to what your are spraying. I originally left all the silver trim undipped but decided after first spraying grill only that I wanted to spray silver below hood. Definitely like this look.
i thought about it but i wanted something to offset the black...i'd rather not make it all black and look like a gaping hole with or without the A
but we'll see. It's all reversible anyway! haha. plus my headlights arent blacked out, so i'd like to leave some remaining trim pieces for a 2 tone approach.

yes it's really easy to remove. The trick as shown in guides is not to tape right along the edge of the area you want to paint, but to have a small gap so you're overspraying by just a hair.
the plastidip will conform into the crevice and when you pull the tape off, it makes a clean edge and pulls the overspray off too. Any overspray that you miss can be just rolled/rubbed off. I was a little skeptical, but it's pretty easy! Also, you need to layer the plastidip so removal is easier. I did 4 coats, 15 minutes in between.
if you look at the first picture you can see i didnt tape right up along the silver trim on the bumper, and left some of my ABP paint showing.
edit: uploaded another picture with the tape removal process:

^yes that's where I picked mine up this morning. They only carry black, but dipyourcar.com has a few other colors, metalizer (which is sprayed onto a base plastidip color), and clear.
