Difference between TL-S and TL-S A-spec side skirts...

Ok I've searched for about 30 minutes and I couldn't find any pictures, just descriptions.

Does anyone have any pictures showing the clear difference between the stock Type-S and Type-S A-spec side skirts? I'm debating whether to get the whole kit or just the front and back.

well considering the side skirts never changed... that is why you can't find a difference

there are 2 different skirts period... 1 is the aspec skirt, and the other is the stock skirt... only differences in the part # is color variances

additionally there aren't "type s aspec skirts"... there are only aspec skirts... the only differences are front and rear accordingly

well you keep saying type s skirts... they aren't type s skirts they are just skirts peroiod

the difference is the a-spec are lower and have different lines, so it will flow with front and rear which hang lower aswell

here are a couple pics in white so the difference is way more apparent
NON ASPEC (only 1 style come on all 3rd gen tl PERIOD)

ASPEC (only 1 style)

the a-spec side skirts just have more of a "flare" or "angled look" at the ends....

there are 3 different skirts actually.. 04-06, 07-08 type s and the aspec. (not sure what 07-08 base model come with). 04-06 are more plain and no line. 07-08 has a higher line to it. aspec has the lowest line.

...there all the same answer just explained a little different.

1. 04 - 06 & 07 -08 base - simple side skirt
2. 07 - 08 a little flare - type s
3. A-Spec side skirts - flared out and gives it a beefy look

.........hope that helps

the Type-S does have more defined side skirts then the normal TL, read the brochure. That's why i chose to keep the stock side skirts rather than add the A-Spec skirts. I opted for just the front and rear lips and i think it flows perfectly. The A-Spec sides look a little too chisled to me and take away from the lines.

heres my car with front/rear lips and stock Type-S side skirts.

^ hes right. Those skirts have a lil bit more lines to them. just look at my car above. NO LINE. but i dont care

for instance. check out the line that goes across the type S. it seems to be about 2 1/2 inches from the bottom

Now look at my WDP up there with the stock base sides, no line about 2 inches above the bottom

So there IS a difference
