CONGRATS, ANIL! We just introduced our second one Tuesday of last week...so we're right back at ground 0 for the newest one. I had gotten spoiled by how much easier it is to care for a 2 Y.O. as compared to a newborn.

Yeah, now that the house is pretty much done (save one final project, the deck), it's back to my hobbying roots! I can't claim that I'll be burning the world down with additional DIYs, but well, maybe...

Hi Dan. I miss you. That's all.

Oh...and CONGRATUFKNLATIONS on baby number two, sir! I need to get my ish together, I want some kids too and they honestly just cost way too much to go and buy one.

Keep in touch here and there...

Oh, and I look forward to pictures of your deck (southern twang pronunciation)

I'm curious as to why you still have on the XXR's if they are so bad.

Howdy, gang! Long time no see. Thought I would dust this thread off and provide an update with the current happenings to the TL. We're rapidly approaching the 200k mark and still motoring along with vim & vigor, and while I've admittedly opined for a newer car, it's simply impractical to take on a car payment at the moment (looking to buy a bigger home next year). So, with having taken some serious road damage to the bumpers, it was time for a bit of a refresh. So this weekend the missus and the kids will be heading off to see family in the mountains, so we've the perfect weekend to do some serious exterior detailing and bumper replacement. Here's the agenda and what to expect over the next few days:

WASH CYCLE
Bug removal and wash
Clay Bar
Soap wash

URETHANE CLEAR
A reclear applied to multiple parts including head and tail lights

PAINT CORRECTION
SSR 2.5 w/ Orange pad
SSR 1 w/ green pad
White Diamond glaze w/ blue pad
Woflgang Deep Gloss Synthetic Sealant V2.0 w/ black pad

BUMPER INSTALLATION
Front w/ sharksmouth mod & Accord fogs

Rear

Here we are after the washing cycle. It took about 2 - 3 hours total from bucket to bucket empty cycles. Now the bumpers can come off

I have a part that will require painting, so I'll take the headlights off in between flash cycles. Here's what we will be clearing tomorrow in addition to the headlights

I'll be using this two-part clear, which is supposed to be a kick-ass formulation

Clearly the headlights are well overdue for some TLC

Some spoiler pics of the bumpers. The painter used a 3-part paint...this stuff is GLASS, MAN! A freaking work of art! I had the accents on the lip kits painted black to give it some additional pop, I'm incredibly excited to see this put back together!

Looking forward to seeing it put back together. Glad an OG is still putting love into a TL!
I missed you. That was the unwordiest post you've ever put together, but I am just really excited that you decided to post after 2 years.

Have a great weekend,
J.

FAM, love you all, long time no see for sure! Final results are GORGEOUS, but in as much as I have not followed up on this thread is equally as telling...I wish had more time to post of late, but work and domestic life have absorbed 99.9% of my time, and the little one are of the foremost priority. In short, some 23 hrs of clear coating, reinstallation, wetsanding, and machine polishing later, she looks AWESOME.

I promise you an update this weekend!

Life happens, the weekend is over and I have no new pictures of said car, nor of Dan's shirtless carb cycling body.

Dude, I'm in no way shape of form of the glory of my former, but I'm working on that now and is taking a heft of my time. I did manage to hit a personal best of 530lbs raw deadlift 3 weeks ago, which was nice.

I was in a crazy rush to get this done and the past weekend did not offer much more free time as well. I was mega dissapointed with the shots I took so I am going to have to hit her up with a QWD and another coat of wax this weekend if time permits and try and grab some good images. These are a few that I was ok with. Not bad for 200k!
