Corey's KBP TL Type-S Build Thread **photo heavy**
I haven't the slightest clue, It might help a tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny amount, but nothing that I can tell. This car sucks in the snow period. Then again I'm too cheap to buy winter tires.
Okay! So I bought iJDMTOY's LED DRL kit for my car, I went with white, not dark blue. Just a heads up this kit comes with next to no instructions.

Okay, the light blue shoes where I grounded the wires to the frame, Make sure you point them back so they aren't visible with the plastics on. The green shows where I mounted the resistors at, I used 3M double side tape to put them on. Be sure to clean area first. For the one on the right make sure to mount it as low as possible ( it's in the same area as the left one would be ), even after this you will need to grind down the plate covering the intake tube ( doesn't have to be pretty, no one will see it ).
The red is the wiring harness, I ended up having to unbolt the relay thing ( small black box right under the "R" in Resistors ) and unbolted the 2 top radiator support brackets. I used the holes towards that are right on the red line to zip tie it down. The relax and everything like that is located behind the drivers side headlight because that's the area where next to no water will get.
The result...

Hard to take a good picture of them, but man do they look good. If you look closely you can spot my hiding of the hole in my front bumper

Nice write up....came out nice.
That's my next project. Mine are Vleds and they also come with no instructions. I'll probably mount them similar to they way you did. Just wish I had a warm garage as I'd do it this weekend.
And thanks, it was defiantly in ruff shape. I'm pretty discouraged right now, constant delays to get shit fixed, clunking suspension front and rear, engine sounds like a sewing machine, the millions of rattles.
At long last! The time has arrived, tired of waiting to get this thing done. Set about doing it last night. Spent an hour and a half on this beast.
New grill, honeycomb mesh, chrome trim peace, front aspec, etc.

Closer up of the paint

I need a new top chrome peace now!

The difference in color/reflectiveness/cleaness is AMAZING!

Cool picture Corey!
Overall, we got 12-13 inches of snow. After work, I shoveled around 8 inches of snow. I woke up this morning and had to shovel another 5-6 inches of snow.

But this is nothing compared to those 12-13 inches! Wolf! Hopefully you aren't out of salt up there as we are! There throwing down sand and grit.

Got a link?
Powaaaaaahh
God I love your car.
I had my back seats out for a little while, but I just couldn't live with the road noise and annoyance. I wish I had Innacurate balls. The type-s would be an animal stripped down.
No updates for now, but I'll give a sneak preview...
A 6-7 months ago a couple who bought an MDX from us that had 2500 miles on it was diagnosed with a bad cylinder head, they wanted out of the car and Honda allowed this, but it was a mandatory new shortblock ( J37 ). The engine sat in a crate waiting for honda to request it, but they never did. It was going to be scrapped but I rescued it. The engine with 2500 miles has NOTHING wrong with it at all, it's in mint condition. Will post some pictures when I have a chance. Wondering what I should do here. Suggestions?

Okay... Here is what's about to happen in the next month or so...
entire subframe with engine/trans/rack will be dropped and the following is going to happen ( if i can get the j37 to work with the tl-s heads and accessories, this is a Daily driver so I REALLY need this to work as good as oem ).
- New J37A1 shortblock with only 2500 miles on it roughly
- New head gaskets
- New Valve cover seals
- New Torque Converter
- New main seals
- New timing belt, water pump, tensioner, etc
- New motor mounts, transmission mounts, etc.
- New axles and half shaft
- New starter ( mine is good, but I'm going all out on making it like new )
- Valve covers painted wrinkle red ( NSX-R inspiration )
- Valve adjustment
- Clean oil pan ( re seal it )
- Clean IM,
- Polish heads
- Polish Intake runners
I am probably forgetting things but biggest of all if the money permits it, I am going to try and put the LSD from the 6mt TL-S transmission into the 5at. Never been done before to my knowledge.
