Color matching splash guards
Woot. Just got them installed and washed the car. I'm too lazy to find some decent background/location just for splash guards (but I might get bored enough to do so some other time). :P
BTW, if anyone's interested in picking up a pair of almost-new stock black splash guards, look here:

For the time being, this is going to be it. I did a lot of modding on my previous car and although I enjoyed it a lot, it just made me paranoid whenever I parked it. Besides, I've got more responsibilities now (than back in the days) so my money will go elsewhere first.
As for the A-Spec kit, I have no plans of getting it. Ask me again when I win the lottery though.

Wax'd the car and had some spare time this afternoon. So I decided to hop down to the beach after work and try to catch the sunset.
Then I tried my hands at a couple of HDR attempts. (My very first time trying this technique.)

But I won't be clearing headlights and removing the front plate. I *might* remove the plate next time when I take pics but I'm most likely too lazy to even do that much. This is how I plan to roll.

very nice pics again... what tint do you have?
if you clear the headlights, does that mean the orange part becomes white/clear? would they still flash orange though? that may actually look nice...

usc..why let dealer install the splash guards? I just got a painted set online from Curry Acura. I'm going to install them later this weekend. Was going to follow a tip from another a'zine member about applying some black tape along the edges where the guard contacts the exposed paint surface to prevent rub through or marring.

Hehe. I was too lazy to ask them to take it off physically. But the dealer that I bought the TL from installs splash guards on ALL their new cars on the lot. I managed to get a good price on the car (during the time of my purchase) so the black splash guards basically came for free on the car.
I'm not bothering with any form of tape for the splash guards. I never intend to take them off and should the day ever come that I sell the car and the "buyer" is going to nit-pick on any marring along the splash guard on a used car, then that buyer's got bigger issues.

Where is everyone getting their painted splash guards? I'm seeing Hondaacuraworld and several sellers on Ebay.
Husband has a 2006 TL WDP. I'm concerned about color match with WDP and also the quality of the paint job. I bought a rear lip spoiler on Ebay per recommendation (at that time) and it was very poor quality - touched up badly, bubbles, etc.
Though I realize these ARE splash guards so minimally I'm looking for a decent color match. And, am I correct in assuming the inside where the tire is is black?
Thanks to anyone who could recommend a good seller.
