Clearing Headlights
As I type this my second headlight is baking.
I decided to leave the signal diffuser chrome, instead of painting it. It seems that the more humid it is outside, the more spraypaint bubbles, so i didnt want to risk bubbly paint in the headlights.
So far its going alright, I accidentally broke a bracket inside the headlight, but it wasnt an important piece, it just held in the amber lens.
Ill post some pics soon after I finish. It is pouring rain, so it was a good day to do this.

The first one was a little difficult since I had no idea what i was doing, the second one opened up in about 2 minutes.
Overall, i would say it was relatively easy, just extremely time consuming.
Im letting my last light dry before I put them back in and reinstall the bumper.

It took me about 6 hours, but I would give yourself a little more time because Ive taken the bumper off before and knew what to do. lol

Man whats the point of posting a thread without pics? =P
Either make a thread with pictures, or don't make one until you do have pictures LOL
Anywho, very excited for pictures =)
Seal her up real good so no condensation in the future.

Looks very nice...I had the cleared look originally. Then eventually went for the blacked out look. Great job though...once I did it myself it baffled me why I would have considered paying to have it done. lol.
No offense to vendor intended.

and i was going to black them out, but i thought it was too much black. The theme completed is going to be black with chrome accents (emblems, lights, and lug nuts)
I actually think with the lights, that a set of chrome rims would look really nice. But im sticking with the black.

Been there, done that Caiman....looks good. You'll love the switchback bulbs-it really finishes the look.

Thanks guys. Im about to order the switchbacks, but is there anywhere cheaper?
I usually get my lights from superbright leds, but they dont carry switchbacks.

They are expensive but it's because they're the best. With my setup I wasn't hot on the amber to white shifting (my gf either...lol). If you have an exposed bulb you can go with those chrome dipped amber ones. MUCH cheaper...maybe 10 bucks shipped off ebay?!
PS...I agree...sometimes I miss the chrome in there...but the edges reminded me too much of my old accord with the EURO corners.
Have to agree on the black on black look though! lol.
but still light up amber

HAHA the hitler, im actually kinda liking it too lol
And that full black looks great on both of the cars. Im almost tempted to re-do it and go black hmmm...
I keep thinking that i want to go black, but a buddy of mine had all blacked out and it seriously reduced the reflectiveness of the headlight. We have the same lights, and mine are 10X brighter.
How is the light reflection on the full black lights?

Light output is the same with the blacked out for low beams.
My version, I blacked out the amber diffuser, not sure E3 did the same. Light output on my parking lights is def. reduced, but bright when signalling. But behind the diffuser I taped off and kept the area around the bulb chrome. You just can't see it.
