Car looks great. If I had the money to get new rims, f14's would by far be my first choice.

Thank you very much.

Another mod done tonight...installed the isimple unit. Very happy with it, and glad I successfully took apart the center console and put it back together perfectly.

+1 the isimple was one of the best "upgrade" i did for my car after my cd player unit crapped out on me. Do you have navi? if not, then you really didnt have to take out the center console When i installed mine, i just felt through with my hand to plug the wire to the back of the factory headunit

Nah I don't have navi, but I couldn't really get my body positions comfortably to reach the unit. I didn't take it completely apart, but I did take off some pieces. It was no big deal.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Update: I hit 100,000 miles yesterday. Already ordered some parts for the 105k maintenance, I figured I'd just do it now since I have the means to. I also ordered some goodies as well.

Sorry for the shitty cell phone pics lol.

MODS-Can you change the title to d-town's progress thread pt. 2

ok sorry if this isn't the place to be asking it, but i figured it would be better than starting a new thread. i tried going to the isimple website to read but still didnt find a answer

what ADVANTAGES does installing a iSimple unit to play my mp3 player (Zune HD) have over using the regular AUX cable?

i use the aux cable in the armrest to hook up my mp3 player and it works fine... what pros does the iSimple unit add? better sound quality? anything else?

The 3g doesn't have an aux port from the factory. You have to get an aftermarket module and install it. I'm not sure how you have an aux port in your armrest, other than maybe someone already installed it in your car...

maybe it's something they added for the 07-08 models. cause i'm pretty sure its not aftermarket. it's built into the armrest area. it's located under the 12v socket.
