Be Careful Where You Park.......(No 56K)
Note to self: Next time buy full coverage insurance. Or 55MPH winds may destroy your girlfriends roof, causing extensive damage to your nice Acura that you've had for less than a year. And it wont leave a scratch on the busted ass Corolla right next to it.

Roof shingle hits? My TL and my ladies mustang got nailed by a few shingles from a neighbors neglected roof. Since then, I painted corrected the vehicles and it's hard to see the scratches. One left a dent on my fender but I already rolled it out myself and another left a dent on her roof's mustang which I almost pulled out. Gotta love when even in your own driveway you fall victim.
Home owners covers things involved at the house. Hell I even had homeowners cover my stolen CDs when my car was broken I to at the dealer. It doesn't hurt to ask.
Yeah it was roof shingles. I was at my girlfriends apartment, and we kept hearing slapping and banging noises. We couldn't figure out what it was until the next morning when I realized that it was shingles coming off of the roof of a 3 story building and landing on my roof and windshield during a 55mph windstorm. The windshield was replaced for free (by law in KY) but the landlord told me they couldn't help me with the rest. I explained the story to my insurance agent, who said basically I had no case to take them to court because since I was a guest the landlord would simply say that they didn't force me to park there. BS if you ask me, but hell what can you do? The problem is that she lives in a condo where she is the only one in the whole (300+ unit) complex who rents and doesn't own, so she doesn't have homeowners insurance. That and within one month of this happening, her landlord sold the condo to another person who I have no idea how to get in touch with, and probably wouldn't help with the damages even if I could contact him.
I just graduated college, and money is pretty tight at the moment. $1000 a year is better than $2200 a year, especially when I'm trying to save to put up a down payment on a house/get married/finish paying off the TL.
Everytime I look at my car the anger sharks swim in my head. It looks like somone took a metal rake and had their way with my roof. I even had pieces of shingle stuck in the back antenna. There are also scratches on the passenger side window, on the sunroof, and the passenger side.
Parked right next to me was a beat up 90's model Corolla, which didn't have a scratch on it. And on the other side a black SL500 Benz, which also didn't have a scratch on it.

Sucks dude.
$2200 a year for full coverage in Louisville KY. Insurance that expensive out there?
Anyways current insurance issues aside, fix the car and then find a way to insure it.

A good thorough polish should be able to round off the scrapes enough to where its not noticeable... Black door garnishes can be replaced. Not sure on the cost though...
Any dents? If so, take it to a PDR specialist. They might even be able to help with the detailing to remove the scratches.
Sucks to see though. But not the end of the world! Think Positive!
