Carbon fiber steering wheel? Any pics?

I've spent the last 30 min searching for a decent pic of an installed carbon fiber steering wheel. The two pics I gound were of shoddy quality at best (sorry to whoever that was)...

Could someone PLEASE share a pic of this mod with us? It's not exactly cheap and I would like to see it in context first.

Umm, heh heh... that was the picture I was referring to, yes.

Not that it's a BAD picture (sorry if I implied that)... I just wanted a shot maybe without flash, or maybe a bit farther away, like from the passenger side or even the rear passenger area.

... I know, I know... it's asking a helluva lot. But when you think about it, your pics are THE ONLY ones that I have seen out there. I like what I see so far... but before dropping $400, I just want to see more. That's all! Judging from previous threads, I'm sure there's others who would like to see more pics as well. So ehhh........ can we?

You can get these on EBAY from an Acura dealer for $350 shipped that is the lowest price i have seen in about 3 months that i have been lookin..

If you are gonna pay Acura to install it, it is 1.5 hours of labor could be $100-$150 with tax depending on where you live...

I am gonna get one, but i am waiting till next month gettin the Rotora slotted rotors and Comptech catback this month, so i have to wait

Dammit desper! Why did you have to post that?!? LOL! I thought as long as I didn't know how much this cost, I would not do it thinking it was too much! Now I want it! I think it will look badazz in my black on black and the complimentary Skunk2 shift knob!! Like my ass would be ready for the track!

that shift knob looks pretty neat in there... Is it a direct bolt on deal? How do the stock shiftknobs come off, never tried?!

Yeah, that's pretty much it. I liked the stock knob as well. I changed it because the Skunk2 is a weighted knob, and it works well if you have a short shifter, which I do. The whole shifting feel is changed with this combination, more precise and a shorter throw - trust me! It is not the same as stock set-up!

Add the CF wheel, which I will be doing now, and you have an extra sporty set-up!

Oh yeah, Kennedy, if you see this, I don't care about the boot. I don't even notice it now so you were right.

Get A-Spec steering wheels. It's thicker and cheaper. you can get it for around $250-260. Got to Advance Autoparts and rent the steering wheel puller for free. It's very easy to install the steering wheels takes about 15 min.

how much thicker is the ASPEC wheel? According to Tim @ HAW theyre not thicker. I was going to buy one (i prefer thick wheels with no ribbing on the back) but he said its the same thickness? Can someone shed some light? Maybe a side pic of an A-Spec wheel and a regular wheel? [don't mean to hijack the thread sry]

i looked into the CF wheel but i dont like the way it's just molded into the front as opposed to surrounding the wheel.

I still don't get it... My 06TL came with a CF wheel, no upcharge or anything?

Sticker says nothing about CF, the invoice too, nothing.

The grip on the CF wheel is better than the stock wheel IMO. I wear a ring and have not noticed any scratches but than again I baby my car for the most part. I will look into take a pic from the passenger said something this weekend if I am not too busy.

I love these steering wheels. Does anyone know if they would fit an Accord (to match my CF interior trim)? I know the handsfreelink buttons would not work, but would everything else just wire up (mode, volume, etc.)?

Hey videojock one more thing... I noticed you have the nav but your wheel doesn't have the buttons? Is this just an angle issue or are they lacking?

Will do tonight when I get home... Any angle in particular you want?

FWIW - the CF is like applied to the wheel, it isn't inlaid, I can catch the edge on the lower CF and seems like it would peel off?

It's a mystery to me that the car came with a CF wheel, especially since you guys are paying $350+ to add it.

The wheel comes without the airbag and buttons, so I do not think this would be a direct fit to an Accord.

i doubt they're missing, looks more like the angle of the camera shot has them covered up by the HFL buttons.
