Thanks guys. Yea it wasnt small but could have been alot worse.

Was driving normal then everyone infront of me stopped up so i did the same. As i was rolling to a stop my buddy in the back seat saw the van behind me wasnt stoping in time. I look in the mirror and hes got his front wheels locked up hard. I try to get out of the way but it was too late. I was probablying doing 10mph...and id guess he was doing 40ish when he hit me.

Bent the rear 1/4 panel, and door frame...im sure there is more than that to it. Broke the back off the passenger seat. And knocked the rearview mirror off.

poo happens...wont stop me from rolling to the PDX meet tomorrow

So far the qoute is $6700. Im sure there will be more once the rear is taken apart.

One shop i went to said they would put on the Type-S bumper and lip for me if i wanted

It sounds like you have a body shop already. Please don't let your insurance company suggest the shop. I'm assuming that you have USAA. I highly recommend Paramount Centre in FIFE. I've taken 5 of my cars there and they do outstanding work. I guarantee you'll be blown away once you drive onto their lot. It's littered with high end and exotic cars.

Let me know what you think. I can introduce you to the owner and he'll personally look after your TL.

Thanks for lookin out. The accident happend in Portland, OR. so im leaving my car down here to get it worked on, because ill be out of the army and living in Wilsonville in 12 days.

The shop im going to does alot of cars and is a well known shop in the area. They work on alot of hotrods and classic cars as well, and we've had two other cars worked on by this shop in the past and they both came back great. Even gonna dynamat my trunk again for me wooooooooo.

That's good to hear bro. Finding a reputable body shop these days is impossible. You're ETS'ing huh? I got out after my first 4 and wish I had stayed in. I was at Ft. Hood and did NTC twice. Loved every minute of it. Let me know if I can help you out with anything. I can help you move although I've got no clue where Wilsonville is. Sounds like an imaginary place.

Getting medically seperated..

I did 2 years at ft. hood, and one NTC rotation before deploying, and a year at ft. lewis...was fun, but is all over now.

Thanks for the offer in moving but ive got little to nothing left at ft. lewis. I bring little bits back each weekend i drive down here.

Wilsonville is about 15 min south of dowtown portland on I-5.

Yea my guess is gonna be close to 10 grand (@ 6700 now) if there is subframe damage. Currently it sits in a garage at my girls house in portland waiting for the other guys insurance to schedual a time to come apraise the damage, unless they decide to go off the qoute from the body shop since its so high.
Couldnt have come at a worse time too, ill be out of the army in 11 days and the first thing among many ill have to take care of now is fixing my car. estimate 3 weeks in the shop for just body work...subframe will be a whole new time frame.
