Thanks for all the comments, guys.
With that 215 tire and wheel specs you could run about -3. That bronze and teal is

About how much clearance do you have between the back wheel and the Brembo?

I\ve always had my eyes on these wheels but would like to run at least a 235 tire.

The front wheels come nowhere near the Brembos...there's a ton of space in there.

Any reason you need to run a 235 tire? On a 9" wheel, my 215's are barely stretched, and a 225 is pretty much flush with no stretch. If you're low, a 235 tire is going to rub like crazy unless you run a bunch of negative camber. Even my 215's rub from time to time, but I'm obviously pretty low.

we live in Ontario, Canada and most of the cars here with stretched tires with hellaflush or too much camber set up are being pulled over, licence plates taken away and cars being towed, I know it sucks but better be safe than sorry

^ what my boy said, plus I'm not a fan of slim tires on the TL. Im on 255s right now and going to 215 would be such a drastic change. I'm all about the beef.

You're right, Anil. I've been slacking lately...been traveling almost every weekend, so my TL has gotten little attention. Plus I just lost one of my rear Brembo covers, so my TL's chi is all out of balance now lol. I will get a "summer update" uploaded asap!

I used steel "hanger tape", which I bent into a small bracket, but eventually it just gave up I guess. I used JB Weld last time...I may try something else this time.

She is sexy, great pics. That sucks about the caliper cover- those are the single piston covers right? I have the same ones waiting to be installed

Yep, they're the single piston style covers. Just like STi and Evo rear Brembos...

That corner of my Aspec kit rubbed off a long time ago, so now doesn't rub anymore lol

I know it sounds really ghetto, but I used double sided tape to mount my Brembo covers. I had them mounted like that and they never budged, even after driving through rain, cold weather, and car washes.

I used whale cumm...never moved. Not even once.
Seriously though, dabs of the clear RTV on a clean surface have been holding my rdx covers...would probably work for you too!

I'm running a 225 tire on a 9" wide wheel and the there's some mild stretch, but nothing that will land you in hot water with police and we all know how Peel Police can be. I wouldn't worry about cops harassing you as the stretch is barely noticable. A 235-40-18 tire will have a really big sidewall and you will not be able to dump it.
