Welcome to Acurazine and congrats
I agree with Familyguy, you have to loose the dealer sticker.

Nice find! KBP/Ebony/6mt Type S...thumbs up in my book! I agree with others that all that dealer advertising has to go. Lose the license plate frame and the sticker under the ACURA emblem. Im sure you already did this but we just had to make sure :-)
Lastly, be sure to scrub and polish the heck out of those exhaust tips. Looks like the previous owner never did that lol.
Congrats!

I wonder what would I need to make it shinny again?

Is that what they call that combo? I really never heard of the term unicorns before lol..
and thanks! I love the new ride. Looking to buy some Tien SA and A-Spec Lip kit. Any idea where a good place to start? I try to find some in black market but no luck.

ah that good to know. At least now I know what the term Unicorn means. Does that also apply to the other Type S manual cars as well?
I contacted AckTL05. Waiting on response now =)

I would actually say any super clean, mint, low mileage, 6mt Type S would be considered a unicorn. If you wanted to be real picky, maybe MRP/ebony/6mt, which could arguably be even more difficult to find than KBP. However, no one will ever truly know since actual production numbers never have and never will be known. They just simply aren't out there anymore. Every single day one gets either wrecked, dinged up, or miles are just going up and up.

Gotcha so I guess KBP and MRP is the harder color to find.

my first tl-s was kbp. it was 5 at, factory aspec and ebony interior and took well over a year to find it. only had it for 4 months before i got rear ended and it was a total loss. my current tl-s is 6 speed and is so much more fun to drive. congrats on the pick up. if you wanna trade for a cbp type s id be happy to trade you hahah

Yes those two colors are IMO easily the least produced. Black would be the most common. Whats cool about KBP is its a Type S exclusive color where as MRP was available on both the base and Type S in 07/08. However, strictly speaking Type S, I think MRP would be a bit more rare, but thats just my opinion based on years of searching and research. I dont actually have numbers to back that. I used to have a KBP Type S, but it was 5at. Great color!

This is so crazy. My KBP TL-S 6MT was for sale in Austin Texas as well. It had 60,018 miles on it when I had it shipped up to Maryland. Mines been sitting under cover due to winter and I have another DD at the moment but we did put a quick 6 miles on it going to Waffle House and back tonight. I checked out the route before we got it out of the garage
I absolutely love the car and I'm sure you will too!

Nice pick up! A few of us here saw that one on Autotrader. Looked like a winner!
As Millafied mentioned, my KBP is also semi hibernating here in NJ at the moment. Since I brought it home last month the weather has been really cold and crappy
