holy cow, those are some serious skills Those are great pictures, and the car looks clean enough to eat off of. Not to be rude, but the first pic looks like the car is bloated...

lol thanks man!

now that you do mention it, it does look bloated. its how the shadow falls on the curvature of the car. its part of my month-long series of pictures that I will be taking to get myself out of the "wedding photography" mode and back into "automotive photography" mode.

yeah im in socal ive just been too busy with work and other stuff that Ive been shooting cars again to get my mind to relax.

the headlights are the OEM bulbs (they were just turned on so that;s why they have the blue hue). the fogs are 6000K HIDs.

Mind sharing your technique? Are you masking stuff off in PS or are those the pics straight from your camera? Hook it up! I need help/

straight from camera with a remote strobe at -1 1/3 power. only things done in Photoshop are curves and exposure adjustment, plus a bit of sharpening.

I do it as a side job/hobby (mostly weddings/formals). its not my regular job though.

me and my friend are looking to do a photoshoot for our cars one day, are you socal and would you do car photoshoots i dont feel like renting an slr and the risk of accidentally dropping it or something :/

As a matter of fact I sometimes do. They pay me to teach some basic and advanced Canon tutorials and DIY's. From learning to use any Canon point-and-shoot to any low (XTi~XSi) to mid-level DSLR (20D~40D)
