Here's what a BMW Shark Fin antenna looks on a 3G TL. This was a 25 bucks mod, tell me what you guys think?

That looks great, a little subtle but it still gives the car a sleeker look

My eye is drawn to the Inspyres. What prompted you to get the BMW shark fin?

Did you have to remove roofliner to get at the bolts?
I think it looks good.

I was driving behind a 2010 BMW 335i and thought to myself, that shark fin would look good on my TL. Did some search online and found it on ebay. It's just a stick on (not a real antenna), it fits nicely tight. You can also cup it over the original TL's antenna. I would highly recommend it.

Looks good. I got one for my 2003 Maxima off of E-Bay for like $12.00 and just 3M'd it on the car. But the Max is silver so it's generic. Having to color match is more dificult. The ones on E-Bay are offered in the more popular colors like Silver, white and black.

Fail. So you can't use XM with this antenna, or can you just stick it on the stock one and have it still work? Either way, it looks nice and I've always wanted to try it.

Yes, you can stick it over the stock one and still use XM radio. See pic below.

Ah, so it's just a fakey lol

His TL is a Canadian model so it doesn't have XM therefore no XM antenna.
That's why he was able to just fit the shark fin antenna there.

It looks good none the less; but it's still a fakey lol

Reviving this thing! Just letting everyone know, I'm in the process of attemping to install a 2011 WDP antenna. I have to buy a new navi disc to see if it works, if so, I'll post a diy for you guys!

Wait, I've read other threads stating it was navi (in second gen thread). Is it navi or xm? It works perfect if it's xm
