Blacked Out Emblems
Yesterday i decided to debadge my car then an idea popped in my head. Ive seen it done before on here so i thought id give it a try. I went for the gloss black look. I think it looks really good on a nbp. And also if anyone wants to do this i advice you to let it dry overnight, dont listen to the direction on the bottle of 1 hour. Yea it feels dry but when i put them on last night they lost their shine and all i saw were my finger prints. So i had to re-coat them. Ok here are the pics
In the painting process:
The finished product:
There much darker then they appear here..idk why they look silver:
I kinda wish i made the S on the s type logo black..maybe ill do that next weekend.

the "A" has been done before in fact I had it ... but the "TL" dude.. now thats friggin clever... good job....
I think if you sat there you could mask out the red section of the S logo...
also for some of you that are planning a diy... do take out the time to scuff the emblems first since it will make it far more easier and longer lasting for the paint

I talked to a member from here that did it and he said you have to go through the trunk. Take the lining off and take the whole license place CF looking thing off then you can unclip that piece off and paint it. I took the lining off before so that's not a problem, and he said that taking the other thing off is easy, only 4 screws. I will be doing this maybe this weekend if its nice out.

that looks slick, you should consider smoking out your taillights or something. either that or look into tints if you don't already have them, i can't tell in the photo

myron- i used 3m strong double sided tape, its rained and ive pressure washed my car at those do it your self places and they stay on..its good stuff.
syunit- I had smoked tails until this summer..here look
It would of looked sick BUT....i went to a party and woke up the next morning to find both my tails ripped into shreds....=[ idk how it happened probably some drunk bastard or just a hater cause he probably has a toyota or something and the tl-s is awsome lol..but i haven't had the time to get them done yet. Plus the guy i know that did it for 45 moved away. So ill stick with this for now.
