wow, these wheels look good in black.. i was thinking of getting mine painted like the gunmetal te-37's...

and our stock wheels are made by Enkei??? I thought only the a-spec wheels were Enkies?

It might be a while before i can get more pics because someone committed a felony burglary in my apartment and the canon xti was one of the items that was extracted.

It's the Spoon Sports TL there never was. And yes the car was dirty in those pictures hence the not so shiny tires.

 

13 inch one piece rotora's.

 

This was a spontaneous project where i got out of class and went straight to autozone. The actual paint i was looking for was the duplicolor wheel spray paint but they were out of stock at the time so i just used some left over spray paint that i used on the versus bumper to paint the wheels. I left the wheels on the car while I sanded them with 320 grit sandpaper. I taped the lugs and calipers with painters tape and sprayed them down. This was a true half ass job but the overall effect is the darkness so the little imperfections aren't noticeable. Whenever i put the TE-37s back on the car maybe I will re-sand them and use the duplicolor wheel paint and apply a clear coat as well.

did you use the DIY write up? was it neccesary to "scuff" the wheels up and make the surfaces rough?

i think you've inspired me to do this on my NBP. i thought it would look ghetto, but yours look sharp. maybe its the WDP

 

You should go for it. Your TL will look like a stealth bomber.

i've done much research and have come to the conclusion that it's definitely the WDP because WDP TLs are sexier than all other colored TLs

It's a shame the underground market is so big here in Charlotte. Seems like there are not too many nice honda's left around the area. I'm a victim of all kinds of theft (auto larceny, grand theft auto, and felony burglary). If the TL ever gets breached again, by God, I hope they don't set the alarm off. That sucker is loud and WILL wake people up.

 

thanks yeah I remember seeing your car way back in the day up at CP race and always when im parking up at UNCC for class. Ive got a black s2000 now though.
