looking at pics of other Ebony interiors, the 05 that im planning on getting, doesnt look so black, maybe its the light, but other pics of other interiors, the interior is black and it looks hot. let me know thanks.

Wow, that's black? Looks more liek the charcoal to me as well. I can only tell the difference between Camel and Taupe thouh

i think it's the exposure that was set too high
so the reflective part actually stands out more,making it not so black

its black. when i took pics of my interior it looked exactly the same way! i guess it was the exposure

(1) that's black
(2) that digital camera is kinda sucky .... you can see how blown out the rest of the image is and i'm sure the contrast in the interior is also off. i have the black interior and it's black and hot

The carpet in the ebony interior is notably "gray". I just bought a carpet from a wrecker, and it's the same color. The carpet is really giving the "charcoal look.

You could always check the door jam where it has the color code tags there.

There really isn't a black colored piece in the TL's interior that matches... Everything is shaded differently, but in normal light it all looks the same.

The picture in the link below is HUGE, I just snapped it at full resolution awhile back and it shows everything... Look at all of the pieces that do not match (like the radio display WTF?), the light from the flash highlights this, but it all looks black in the daylight.

At night when it's dark, everything looks black.

it's black, i felt the same way after I picked up my 3rd gen type s, the black seemed dull compared to my 2nd gen type s black/"ebony" interior, but it's nothing some maguires leather treatment can't solve...
