I have a Gold 2005 TL and my paint guy said he could paint my roof black and put a carbon fiber laminate on to make it look like carbon fiber (like the new M3 roof).

I don't have tint on yet, but I was planning on putting a very dark tint on after painting the roof.

Could anyone photoshop a black roof on gold TL or does anyone have pictures of something like this? Because it looks BAD ASS on the M3

search the gallery, there are a bunch of ppl with black roofs on white cars and silver cars. Didn't see the gold one but it would look the same

i would say tint the car first. It might look wierd..

and add the tints when the paint is done, at 5% all around or 20%

unless you have a really aggressive setup, Id say it would look weird. On a car like acuratein i think it would fit in nicely though.

Don't think you can pull that off with Desert Mist. Also, be very careful with laminate CF roofs. There was a car down here that did it with a Mazda and it blew right off the car on the highway.

If you do it, you would have to use a very strong, permanent adhesive on the roof.
