Hey sorry, I don't have any pics of how the brackets look when mounted up but it's pretty straightforward when you remove the old calipers.

Arthur,

LOVE the teal calipers.....AND the new Avatar!

You need to consider carrying that teal color through somewhere else on your car. I've got some ideas, if you want, just PM me.

So that's what those nasty NY plates look like on WDP. The old white plates were so much better. Great pics nonetheless!!

I keep hearing a popping noise from the passenger front wheel well when I hit small or large bumps on the road.. think it might be my sway bar end links judging from what I've read online. Anybody used Moog End Links?

BTW thanks for all the compliments everyone

Yeah I might replace the end-links on all 4 ends.. not sure if that's worth it or if I should just replace the front and leave the rear. I'll probably stick with Moog since they're thicker than OEM.

Anyway I think my shocks are pretty much done.. the ride has pretty crappy lately. Any recommendations? I want something that has comfort but I'd also like to drop it a bit (1.5-2"?). I don't plan on tracking the car either but I'd like the handling to improve. Basically all-around coils?

Just fixed my hyperblink issue after a year of installing my LED switchbacks. For those who are interested in eliminating the hyperblink that comes with LED turn signals.. refer to this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/g-109-diy-eliminate-led-bulb-induced-hyper-flashing-without-load-resistors-815219/

I love your grill. I really want to do the outside trim white like you did, but its a lot more work. So I was thinking of just doing the inside black and leave the outside silver. But your way looks better I think.

You should paint the outside trim to match the color of your car.. it would look nice man.

Anyway, I was a bit bored tonight so I decided to download Adobe LightRoom and play around with it. Never did any photo editing before but I think these came out somewhat nice.

Thanks for the compliments everyone.

So tonight while driving home, I hit some uneven pavement on the highway and it ended up curbing my driver side front rim. The wheel is a bit stretched 215/35/19s on 19x8.5 +35 wheels. My rears are a bit stretched as well, 235/35/19s on a 19x9.5 +35 wheels. I'm pretty tired of dodging potholes, manholes, etc in NYC and I want to get proper fitting tires for these Varrstoens. They're sweet wheels and I really want to keep them. So what are ideal non-stretched tires for my wheels (19x8.5f +35 & 19x9.5r +35)? I will be daily driving the car and I want specs that can handle NY roads but I want a great looking stance as well.. is that impossible?

This is an example: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?p=10791708

235 on a 8.5 will give you quite some wheel protection and wont look as if its "bulging" out...

225 will look very decent on a 8.5 and 245 on a 9.5

Well I noticed a few more chips here and there.. I definitely don't think the stretched setup is for me.. at least not in NYC. I'm doing my best to drive around potholes/manholes/etc but it's become such a headache (not to mention tiring as well!). I think I'm going with a 245/35/19 & 275/30/19 setup next spring. I think I'm going to get the wheels powdercoated to the Volks Magnesium Blue color as well.

This past Friday my VSA and Brake light went on but my car drove fine.. I thought it was my wheel sensor after speaking to a few people but yesterday as I was driving to Manhattan in the morning I was noticing brake fade. It was weird because I was driving so conservatively since I had my grandma in the car. After parking I popped the hood to check the brake reservoir and it was bone dry. I had a leak somewhere.

I ended up buying brake fluid (which was impossible to find in Manhattan) and topped up my brake reservoir. My buddy ended up helping me tighten the banjo bolt that connected the brake line to the caliper so hopefully that fixes the leak.. now I have to get my brakes bled. Ordered SS lines last night from XLR8.. they will go on later this week.

I bought a set of Russel SS Brake Lines a month or so ago from Amazon (
Amazon Amazon
). I brought it to my mechanic to get it installed with my RL BBK and he told me it wasn't compatible. Told me the flare on the lines wasn't compatible with my car and if he were to install them, they could leak.

At first I didn't believe him because a few 3G guys on AcuraZine had them installed without any problems but I didn't take the chance and had them use the old rubber lines.

I ordered XLR8 SS lines on Sunday night and they arrive today (Thanks XLR8!). After looking at the lines, I now know what my mechanic was talking about.

Here you have the end for the XLR8 lines:

Here you have the end for the Russell lines:

There's a huge difference between the two.. so don't buy Russell 684690 SS lines if you own a 3G TL! They're listed wrong on Amazon and other sites. From what I was told if the lines don't create a seal, there's a possibility it could leak and the results can be fatal.

Had the XLR8 SS lines installed today without a problem.

The brakes feel great and the pedal is definitely more firm.
