Anti NBP Crew #1

No more NBP for me.
Had a problem with my powder coating peeling off one of my wheels when i got some new tires. Left me with crapped up wheel.

Just got a call that my new wheels are being made right now, so i got atleast 70 days untill i see them. For now this is how im gonna roll...

excuse the dirt..rains alot in washington

Damage

Temp Fix

Had them baked and blasted last weekend. Didnt turn out how i expected, just a weeeee bit white looking. Up close they are a very bright grey, and very raw.

Its growning on me...im gonna try and clean them up some this weekend.

Yea...only 69.5 more days to wait..

Black looked awesome, but that color now doesn't look to bad honestly. I kinda like it. Flows with the car pretty well.

Well kinda, i got stuck in the middle of two places pointing the finger at each other. In the end the powder coating place blasted them for free, and the tire shop mounted and balanced for free. So i got new looking wheels for free, and they were in need of being re-coated from winter wear and tear.

cough....d40x ftw...cough

Ive thought about doing that too, but id want them to be WDP, and they dont really carry that in a rattle can.... They will get powder coated the right way once i get my new wheels.

Long story, but i was told my wheels were sent to Powder Coat company A. when in fact they were sent to Powder Coat company B.

Company B. did not blast/prime wheels before coating
Company A. noticed this once they blasted mine, which is the reason they peeled.

Ive thought about removing the ASPEC Spoiler for the TypeS Lip...but...

1. Dont want to have to fill the holes
2. Two lip spoilers (roof & trunk) is too much lip spoiler going on.
3. The CLS CF Spoiler ua6spec made is pricey, but the only alternative.

Thanks for the input though.

Im not a big fan of chrome, but with these wheels being a one peice wheel, making the lip polished and spokes white wouldnt be worth the hassle.
