ANOTHER MOD!! CF Braille battery!!

ok guys since AZ was down yesterday i went ahead and installed my carbon fiber barille battery. any shmuck can put in a battery use the stock battery tie down and call it a day. NOT ME! i wanted to put my fabricating skills to the test, so i came up with this design, grabbed my tools and did work. i'll let the pics do the talking for now.

what do you guys think?

Bro, you are a true handyman!! First the strut bar, and now a custom battery bracket and tie down! Ingenious.

thats exactly what i didn't want. sure its $15 and less than a 1lb. but it looks like poo my bracket displays this CF beauty is super light cuz its made of aluminum and looks besides to buy one would take all the fun out of it.

THANKS!! on the props guys. since i was getting a CF battery i figured why hide it with some ugly stock tie down. the cables are the stock ones (except for the ground) i just removed the plastic tubbing and replaced it with some black braided sleeving. its heat resistant and looks alot better.

so basically you made the base and bracket to hold the CF cover right??
you didn't make the CF cover yourself did you??

and you were too chicken to clear your headlights??
don't make sense.....

nice skill by the way handyman~

Well I could be wrong, but I mean I'd personally rather mess up fabricating a base and bracket than mess up a entire housing/headlamps/balasts/hids which cost a fortune to replace than messing up on a piece of carbon fiber/plastic/ or a bracket. But that's just me.

Cool

That is the best I have EVER seen! How do you like the baby batt? Is it enough? Ever listen to the radio for a long time without the engine running? I live in Minnesota. I don't know if this is enough for my useage? I do listen to the radio for LONG times.....

HAHA no problem. I can honestly say I would never attempt to black out my headlamps wouldn't want to take the risk of destroying or messing something up. So definate props to you being able to do that. And haha should charge more to do em. And yeah your car looked sick slammed like it was but understandable about too low lol.

thanks man, sure it's more than enough, the amp rating is really good our stock battery has 550 CCA. the braille has 550 CCA and 892 CA, dry cell and is way lighter. my other battery in my previous TL died after 1 1/2 years, i didn't wait for this one to die before i upgraded.
