Another member accident

I was on my way to work and a guy in a old model 5-series swerved in front of me and slammed on his brakes. Now I have a jacked up brand new (1.5 month old) TL. I just started putting on a whole bunches of mods and was planning on putting on some 19" Hiros and Tein Basics this month. Now I get to drive my old car for a few weeks.

Sorry about the pics. They were taken from my camera phone.

Ouch, that does not look good .... I feel your pain. The vehicle can be repaired, but the more important question is "Are you okay?" Was the guy who swerved in front of you at fault?

Thanks. Thats what I am thankful for this Thanksgiving but it is gonna suck for my friends and family too because I'm not gonna have much money for Christmas this year.

Neither of us got a ticket. I was told by a co-worker that the same thing happened to him once and he got a ticket. I'm pretty worried that I will be held responsible for the accident when It seems to me it was his fault.

I don't think this is big enough to consider my car totaled but some people say it is. What do you think?

That's awful, I got a TL in October and cringe just at the thought of getting into an accident, at least I hope the insurance company doesn't try to screw you next

On a better note, your phone takes some pretty damn good pics, I wouldn't have known it was a phone camera

BTW its a i-mate KJAM (aka HTC Wizard) camera phone. It takes 1.3 megapixel photos.

I was pissed as hell the whole day. I can't believe I got in an accident in my brand new car with only 2533 miles on it. We both have the same insurance company so I think I might get screwed based on previous experiences with when this is the case.

Thats what I figured. I know it will be a pretty high repair bill but no where close to being totaled. I'm guessing about $5,000 in repair cost.

I can't see that as a total based on what I see in the pics.

Now that you've had an accident and are physically OK, try to just enjoy the holiday with your family and not think about the poor TL until next Monday. Easier said than done, I know..

You can also try to get diminished value from the insurance company because your car will never be able to sell at its full value becuase of the accident.
