Alfred Hitchcock is directing a new movie. My TL-S got the lead role.
ok another update, car needs a full respray. damage was done to the trunk lid, roof, my poor CF hood, front quarter panel, rear quarter panel, even side mirrors got scratched. over 70% of the cars panels were scratched. here are a few pics from the body shop. imagine those scratches, on the above areas i mentioned and you'll get an idea of the damage these fuckers did.
car goes in the paint booth this weekend and i should have it back in a few weeks. what a pain in the ass.
worst part is, i don't have rental coverage (which was a surprise because i thought i did)...so here i am, with no car. sucks.

vultures have some sharp ass nails/claws/talons not to mention that nasty beak. no amount of buffing is going to get rid of ALL the deeper scratches which have penetrated the clear coat to the base coat or near it.
in black paint those scratches will still show even if buffed out. it's not worth thinning out the clear coat to "buff" out the scratches to only make them less noticeable. respray is the best bet to make sure there is a healthy clear coat on the car. and we all know that shark's paint finish was pretty well kept (esp since he did a full detail inthe spring). doing it right by respraying the car is the way to do it.
good luck shark. hopefully the CF hood isn't damaged past the clear. get the shop to put like 10 layers of clear on the hood. stupid vultures.

dude...tomatoes and red text!!! lol
he might know you're kidding but the rest of us (ie me or others) might think you were serious. yeah throw more salt into sharkie's pain...
it's a pain but she'll be good as new when it's all said and done. only downside...where are you parking the car when it goes home? the vultures will be waiting
and you can't use your car cover for most of the winter. oh...idea...drive the car to work on trash day. at least it'll be safe?

true. but, it's sub 50~ outside and raining. not fun on a bike.

thanks for the kind words, insurance handed over the check today and its getting sanded down as we speak. i'm going with a totally new color, no more NBP for me.
dat red text.
nope, not battleship grey...i'll leave that up to someone else.
i am getting a whole new custom color tho...
i bought a fake owl at home depot and i'm going to perch him up next to the tall fence on the dumpster. i put him up last night, so far, no vultures. owls are bad ass birds and other birds tend to stay away from them.
as for the car, i'll just park it somewhere else for the time being AWAY from the dumpster, then after the cure period, i'll keep it covered.
worst case scenario, in order to protect the paint, i'll just leave it at my moms garage temporarily bc i do normally bike to work.

What ^ said... Midnight Purple would look hot on your car. I bet you wished that you did not sell your winter wheels now. A new fresh color will make you feel like you just purchased a new car.

hmmm...
i wish I knew what color he was painting it. Can't be midnight purple since VIP TL already has that and we all know how much Aaron (or was it Austin?!?) loves to be original!
